“I love Okoboji and this Americ Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

We went to Okoboji for the overnight stay In June ,We called for reservations and our room was there for us when we got to okoboji. We have stayed at this Motel before and we have always loved the quit clean AmericInn.We had a very kind manager at the desk and other employees assist us with check in and telling us attractions for this weekend. We stayed Friday night in a suit with spa.The room had a small step out deck with chairs facing the green lawn just down from Brooks. The grass was very well groomed and trees and yard was clean and nice. You could see the hiway and some sound from traffic but also could hear the birds .The deck was very relaxing and nice. The room had a very nice bed. the room was decorated really nice too.The spa was very clean and a good relaxing time.It was one of those exta large tubs you fill your self with water and temp you choose ,so you can regulate it your self .Breakfast is out in the lobby in the am with lots of choices and flavored coffee. They have staff to assist you if you need something. The pool and deck off that aria was very clean and a great place to swim or relax ,as always for us a great stay and wonderful staff at the okoboji AmericInn.I even had fun in the rainy day.

Room Tip: ground floor if you don't like steps , walk out deck so nice. upper floor if you like balcony

We stayed here three nights. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The TV is large with lots of channel selections. The shower had good water pressure which I like. They cleaned the room every day. There were plenty of towels in the room. The pool is not very warm and if you want to use the sauna make sure it is on at least an hour before you get in.

The "hot" breakfast is just microwaved eggs, sausage, or bacon. The did have make-your-own waffles which turn out light and slightly crunchy. These are a hit with the guests.

I give it 4 stars because this is the best "upscale" option in town. I can't give it 5 stars due to the breakfast, noisy A/C, and high prices.

Only problem is that the bathroom light was much too dim for applying makeup!
I give up I have nothing more to say and am becoming irritated that there is a requirement in length. I grew up in the Lakes

Especially loved having ground floor room with door access to patio and ease in walking dogs. Will request this same room in future
Hotel was updated last November. Everything in good shape. Only bad comment would be there is no elevator for second floor access

Our room was clean, beds comfortable, and the pool area was great. Staff was friendly & helpful. One lady from the desk was very informative on the best places to eat, another lady from the front desk came into the pool area while we were swimming and asked how the water was and told us the temperatures they keep the hot tub & pool - I liked that b/c both temps felt perfect and the fact that they knew & monitored the temps was a nice touch (how many places I've been the pools have been very cold, and one hotel had way too hot of a hot tub that nobody could stand going in....)Both were adequately sized, and the pool area was clean & stocked with towels. One of the guys from the desk came in to bring towels & such, and noticed our hot tub had run out & offered to push the button for us so we wouldn't have to get out :) There's a 24 hour complimentary coffee/tea bar and the continental breakfast had lots of options and was tasty. Overall, a nice stay, great staff, and great value.

Room Tip: It's 2 story, but no elevator. Keep that in mind if you have tons of luggage, little kids, or h...

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Offered advice on things to do and was right on everything. The free breakfast was good and the staff kept things stocked up. The rooms were very clean and nice. The pool area was very nice. Prices were very reasonable and we had a spa tub in the room. Very happy with stay and would recommend it to anyone. We would definitely stay again if we go back.

This was our second stay at this location and it was even better than the last time. The room we were in had been recently remodeled and it was a perfect home away from home for the week. The room was kept clean and tidy all week. The breakfast choices were amazing. The best part for us was the surprise of the handicap accessible lift for the pool and hot tub. We will never stay anywhere else. Thank you so much for all the perfect stay!!!
