“Great Views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

The park combines a small, well-maintained campground with a separate and spectacular overview of the junction of the Wisconsin and Mississippi rivers. The overlook is a short walk from the parking lot. A small shop provides some essentials; cash only. No admission charge.

“Great views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

I have been coming to this park for about 20 years. There are breath taking views of the Mississippi below, deer in the park, and eagles soaring above. Perfect for an afternoon walk.

“Great hiking trail w/ waterfall and view of the Mississippi”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

It is free! There is a shop with icecream/water, a great picnic area with real bathrooms (handicap accessible) and hiking trails that are well marked and take you to see the waterfall. (Don't miss all of the hummingbids at the trees just outside of the shop) Great family spot for a bbq or picnic. The over look of the Mississippi is fantastic and really gives you a sense of how big the river really is. Lots of eagles to be seen too.

“Beautiful and well-kept”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

Unlike most State Parks, there is no charge to park or to take the short walk to the viewing platforms extended out over the bluffs. The view up and down the Mississippi and of nearby Prairie du Chien are really beautiful. HOWEVER, there are signs indicating a short walk to see Bridal Veil Falls (.5 miles), which doesn't seem far. The entire way is on a beautifully constructed boardwalk with a railing, BUT ABOUT HALFWAY THERE YOU COME TO A SERIES OF STAIRS DESCENDING DOWN TO THE FALLS (WHICH MEANS QUITE THE CLIMB BACK UP). In our party were one older person and one that walks with a cane. Both struggled with the return back to the main area. While the walk is not challenging if you're in good health, it will be difficult if stairs are an issue.

There is a large pavilion right near the parking lot with a lot of picnic tables and the space is available (with advance reservation) for family parties, etc. Nearby is a campground.

Overall, a really lovely spot.
