My wife and I found and excuse to spend a night here, although you shouldn't need one, just a desire to experience another piece of FLW history. An old friend was having his wedding reception in the ballroom, which is located in what used to be the National Bank on the ground floor. The ballroom was very nicely done, with original brickwork and skylights, and details to match the FLW design. The remaining public areas of the hotel were a pleasure to explore, very unique, and exactly what you'd expect from FLW. Our room was one of the best hotel rooms we've ever stayed at, regardless of price.
I wouldn't hesitate to book a night or two here, simply to experience the genius of Frank Lloyd Wright.
