Stayed at the Brown Street Inn last weekend - very nicely restored old house in the north side historic district. Room extremely comfortable, good lighting and chair for reading, desk with good light for working, comfortable bed, able to open the windows for night breeze, own bathroom with loads of hot water. Really, everything one could have wanted, including a front porch with rockers! Breakfast was delicious, a souffle with fruits and meat, scones, rolls, juice, etc. and the owners/hosts gracious. Will always try to stay there when in Iowa City in the future. P.S., prices more reasonable than the area hotels.
