this is not a hotel, it's not a resort either. it's a getaway, seemingly far from anywhere, but actually a hop skip and jump from KL.
the place is not easy to find - you get a map of how to get there only after the booking is confirmed, and you'll still need to call the owner once you reach a certain landmark. (the GPS & mobile are unreliable beyond this point). This relative inaccessibility and the pricing make the place really exclusive.
The retreat room are quite literally stuck on the side a hill, with a stunning view of the hills all around - sunrise view if you stay in the larger family rooms on the east side and sunset in the smaller chalets west side. Rooms were well maintained, but note - no barriers to nature i.e. no windows, unrestricted view , but also unrestricted to the insects and other small creatures like frogs and lizards, so the squeamish ones, be aware. - you'll have company, especially later in the evening,
The infinity pool is cool - you can dip in and watch the sun go down on you behind the hills.
