I just recently had the pleasure of staying here at the Harvest Inn in Hawarden Iowa for 3 days. There were 4 of us, my husband and I and our two children 13 and 9. The First Huge thing was the bed and Pillows...WOW So comfortable and clean I slept like a baby! Also the whole facility was quiet and looked just like Brand new. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. They had WiFi for the kids, and a coffee pot and coffee(restocked each day) for me. Housekeeping came in each day while we were gone and remade beds and cleaned up. We were allowed to have our dog with us (for $15 each day) which was a must. We made reservations about 5 days in advance over the phone which worked well. We didn't really see the staff much since we arrived and departed in early morning hours and were gone visiting family during the day, but the ones we did encounter were very friendly and knowledgeable. Our only complaint would be that they do not have Any type of breakfast, no cereal, NOTHING. And Sunday morning we thought we would go downtown Hawarden for breakfast before going to church with family, but It was a ghost town nothing was open! We had to travel the 7 miles into Akron for breakfast instead.
