Owner description: Is this Heaven? No, it’s Iowa. A place of fertile soil, traditional values and simple pleasure. And, in Dyersville, Iowa, at the century-old Lansing family farm with its quaint, and oh-so-recognizable house, baseball still ranks as a favorite pastime for all ages. What better place to carve a baseball diamond from a corn field and to make a movie about pursuing one’s dream, no matter how much effort it takes?

“go rent the movie”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

There is no magic on the field of dreams, just..... an empty field and the wind whistling through small town Iowa. They figured, if we build it, they will come. Unfortunately, probably not enough people come since it's not on an interstate exit. Actually a real and amazing anomaly worth seeing nearby is the basilica at Dyersville. Yes, and honest to...... God? huge basilica standing alone in the corn.

“Field of Corn?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

If you want to check this out ,you must watch the movie first to appreciate why it is there. Its nothing special so don't go way out of your way to see it , or you may be in for a dissappointment.

This site is one that you have to see if you ever come to Iowa. I love this place because it's awe inspiring and it was in the movie of the same title! I love it! Must see!!

“This is Iowa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

Made a point to visit Field of Dreams site on our road trip around the USA.Easy to find just of highway 20 well sign posted.
We had the whole place to ourselves we brought our gloves with us and was great to have a catch with my daughter we ran the bases sat on the bleachers and walked into the corn in the outfield .
Since it is not every day you can actually visit a location where a movie was made well worth the time.

“Got goosebumps...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

If you have ever seen the movie you will appreciate the area. We were there in November so all the corn had been cut. I think visiting in late summer, early fall when the corn is tall would be better. It's just something to stand on the field or toss a ball around and reminisce about the movie and the dream. The home is still there but you could not tour. Nice souvenir shop. Well worth the trip.
