“Luxurious, spacious, clean, upscale”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2010

Stayed 2 nights for wedding. Clean room, great service. Breakfast / over the counter items (Benadryl for my allergies) were very very pricey but it's to be expected at hotels of this level. Close to great places in the area to visit. Lots of new businesses in the area, seems like. No refridgerator in a $120/night hotel room? The only turn off. Country Inn and suites is $89/night and have refrigerator AND microwave in the room. Fitness Center was small but well-equipped. Swimming pool room was large but very dangerously slippery...the entire time we were there. Staff was attentive. Amazing staircase and entrance. Had to pay for parking, I think was $9 a day.

This was my first time staying here and I was very impressed with the brick lined street and the grand entrance into the hotel. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were spacious, and the rate was amazing ($89)! The staff were great and assisted us very quickly upon our arrival when we needed a feather-free room. The pool was very dirty but smelled of chlorine so I know they were trying to keep it sterile, but the water was very cloudy and had lots of hair and yucky stuff floating in it. It almost seemed like the filter wasn't working. Anyway the stay was nice, quiet, clean, and in a great location. I will be staying there again.

This is a very well maintained and modern full-service Marriott hotel. During the week, it caters to university business travelers and the pricing reflects that, but on the weekend, the value is tremendous. Why pay $90 for a Holiday Inn Express when you can stay here for $100?

The pool and fitness center are nice if unspectacular. The on-site restaurant is good. Rooms are well equipped with free wi-fi and refrigerators and the like are provided free upon request.

I have stayed here multiple times and have been quite happy with the experience every time.

Conciergedid not help locate luggage cart, we had to ourselves. Can hear everything throught the walls includding cell phone receiving tex messages, blow dryers. Several litle kids screaming and running through halls. Rooms were clean, bed comfy. Just not relaxing. Have had better stays at other Marriott's.

My wife and I are from town but we went there for their Valentine's day package. The hotel still looks nice from the inside and outside.
I have always been impressed by their lobby and common areas, I love the library they have on the first floor as well.
We checked in and found the room to be top quality. It is your typical Marriott room but again, still new and fresh. The bed is comfortable. The decorations are nice. The bathroom was really clean.

We received the champagne on time. It was a nice addition to the package.

We went down to dinner in their restaurant because we did not want to drive to other places. This is not the first time I've tried their restaurant and I have liked it in the past. We had reservations and were seated promptly on time.

The waitress was really nice, she listened to us and got us a quieter table. Dinner was well thought out with a special menu for Valentine's day for those who may choose it. The waitress was nice and said she will put our to-go boxes in their fridge and we can pick them up on the way home. She came back later and said she asked for a fridge to be sent up to our room! Very nice touch.

We were not woken up by the sound of heating like in other hotels.
Breakfast was really delicious.

The only thing we did not try is the swimming pool because it was too crowded with many kids.

I would recommend this hotel to any of my out of town family and friends.

This cost is a big pricey, but wow, the rooms are new and clean. The hotel is just spacious and overall very plush. I recommend this place for couples especially! I had a fabulous time here- the staff was excellent! I would definitely come back!

very nice hotel, clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. We were in town for an U of I game, as were most the people staying there. Waited 1-1/2 for a dinner table. Many tables were open, Marriott just didn't have the staff on hand to handle the crowd, even though the hotel was sold out. Breakfast buffet was $30 and when we got to the buffet line, the only thing left was fruit and yogurt.... again, if the hotel is booked how about preparing for the guests. I love fruit and yogurt, but typically we call that a Continental breakfast.
