Free internet in the room and I would stay here more.
Always ask to have a room to the front of the property to aviod the loud highway noise.
Nice rooms, great staff, great breckfast and happy hour.

I liked the place a lot,only wish they came w/ wireless internet connection for free & came w/ hot buffet breakfast, that would be excellent. Otherwise I don't have any complain, the beds were comfortable, I like the flat screen TV, we can turn it to face the beds & watched it from there. The room was clean & roomy. We arrived earlier than check in time,so the room wasn't ready,but they had it ready 1/2 hour before check in time for us. The place look more like a condo than a hotel.

We checked in and had a lot of trouble with our television - new flat screens would not turn on, and then later would not turn off - we would have to work and work to get it on - and to get it off, we had to unplug it - the manager did give us 50% off our rate for two nights though which was nice -

The furniture was great in the rooms - all new - and full kitchen - small bath, but okay -

The pool area was very small with limited seating and chairs - the spa did not work well at all and was not that warm - the lights around the pool area were burned out too - so you could not use it at night - we stayed here primarily for the outdoor pool - as we have stayed at many hotels in Des Moines before -

The hotel is convenient to other restaurants - within walking distance of several - the breakfast bar was well supplied and clean - the business center computer was in the general seating area with no privacy and the computer was very slow -

Overall, though, it was a pretty good experience- the only really bad thing was the maids - all Hispanics - and men - ours could not speak any English - we needed extra towells and he could not understand anything - I still think that if others from other countries are employed in America that they should at least know some of our language to communicate with the guests - the hotel should be able to hire people who can represent the hotel well in the service end -

I was staying in Des Moines for business. I could hear the highway all night long the first week. The next week I was moved to a different room and did not hear the noise as bad. The breakfast was nice. Did have a problem with insects in the first room. The second room had been completely remodeled it was nice.

Unfortunately I am now dealing with them overcharging my credit card. by 244. 16. Not a happy camper at all!
