“a consistent, world-class dining experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013

We recently dined at Red Crowe for the second time. I was a bit nervous because the first time was 'blow our minds amazing' (in food quality, presentation, service, wine, atmosphere). The first time we dined on a Saturday night. This time we met friends on a Monday evening. We were pleasantly surprised that our experience was just as wonderful. They have changed their menu for fall, everything looked amazing but I went with the Sea Bass and my husband went with a shrimp/chicken/chorizo pasta dish. We both couldn't have been happier with our entrees. I had a tomato and bacon Bibb Salad and my husband ordered Scallops for an appetizer. We had both of the Pinot Noirs on the wine list but I must suggest the Oregon. Both were good but the Oregon Pinot (called 3 degrees) was truly the best Pinot I've had in my life. My friends who dined with us agreed. Looking forward to dining with Red Crowe again soon!

“PRICES REDUCED -- QUALITY INCREASED”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

To often when a restaurant lowers their prices to get more business they lower their food quality
as well. This happened with one restaurant in Davenport recently that caused them to go under and close the doors. Not so with Red Crow. They've lowered the prices and increased food
quality, thanks to Nick Cox, the General Mgr. and Aman Razdan, Executive Chef. Among important changes, they have added vegetable sides to the menu. The potato side is one of sides that is excellent. They don't have a lot of sides like restaurant of similar high caliber
do, yet. For instance corn and macaroni and cheese. I understand they are going to increase
the sides. They just started a New Bar Menu, which will be from 5 to 7. I had two of the appetizers on the bar menu and they were both outstanding, both in taste and in low price. One
is Shrimp and Risotto which is $12 and the other, my favorite is Chicken Satay. This is very flavorful and costs only $8.00. I have always felt the restaurant servers and the bar servers have
been excellent. Namely, Tom, Tammy, Lori, and Megan. This is one of the important reasons
why I frequent the Red Crow. The restaurant has once again made important improvements. Previously under other managers, they had been trying to operate as a restaurant in downtown
Manhattan would. There is no place for a restaurant like this in the Midwestern town of Davenport. One thing you should realize and that is this, the Red Crow a beautiful restaurant and the servers do not hurry you along as many restaurants do. They consider you are there for an enjoyable and relaxed meal. So if you are in a hurry tell them "up front".

“Great Improvement”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

Having eaten at the Red Crow Grille several times, I had experienced some problems with the
food in the past, however they have greatly improved. I had an Oyster w/salad and orange
aspic, which was one of the best appetizers I have had in a very long time. If you don't like Oysters, then it's OK because it doesn't taste like Oysters. Then I had the
Scallops and they were phenomenal "Nice and thick" and "juicy and tender". The service
was as good as always but could see an esprit de corps in their attitudes. They have a new
manager, Nick Cox, and he is outstanding, always talking to every customer, and asking if he could help. He is responsible for the great attitude of the servers and bartenders. I feel they were always good but now they are alert, active, and very helpful. I can see good things ahead for
the Red Crow. There is one little problem however. The entrees don't always have very
many vegetables. Other excellent high end restaurants have a side menu of Potatoes, Corn,
Asparagus, etc. They only have French fries called pommes frites, in the vegetable line. Since they choose not to include an adequate amount of vegetables with the entrees they should
have more vegetable sides which people can order. Also, it is OK to use French words for
the entrees but they should put in print below them IN ENGLISH what the ingredients are! We
are in the Midwest and not in New York, London, or Paris. I can foresee average middleclass customers coming in and being quite confused with the menu. They might not know Poussin is
chicken. But in conclusion I think the Red Crow has shown tremendous improvement.

“Anniversary visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

We visited Red Crow in mid June after having not been for 10 years hoping to have the same excellent experience we had back then. Boy did we! My husband was blown away when he found the owner took our reservation and upon confirmation remembered the reason for our visit. Nice personal touch. My husband couldn't decide what to eat and "settled" for the cajun pasta dish as he's not much of a pasta guy....well, he practically licked the bowl clean and we'd certainly order this again. I had the filet and a side of asparagus. Melt in your mouth! We were treated to a dessert of creme brulee compliments of our server and really enjoyed our experience. We will certainly be back sooner this time and encourage you all to visit. Yes, the prices are not typically Quad City style, BUT the overall experience is well worth it, you will not be disappointed.

“Nice place for a special dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

It's expensive for this area but it has a creative menu and a good wine list. Service is always excellent and there is a nice selection of appetizers and entrees.
