“Cozy place to dine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013 via mobile

Stopped in for a bite after church. Great value and friendly service. We had 5 adults and 3 kiddies. They had a room in the back that was perfect for us.

“Just another restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

The atmosphere is 50's dull, the service was cursory and the food was nothing special. We can cook more exciting food at home.

“Out-dated interior, mediocre service and bad food”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

We had not been to this restaurant in 7 years and decided to try it again. Wow, what a waste of time and money. The decor was old and had layers of dust on plastic flower wreaths, etc. The food service was very slow- took 40 minutes for cold peel and eat shrimp to come out. We were then told they were out of the special my husband ordered. He chose a steak that came out flavorless and my "pan-seared" fish was swimming in grease on the plate. Yuck! We were offered a free desert, but left to have coffee and desert up the street. Our poor waitress was obviously very embarrassed. Never again!

“A very Happy Accident!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

We found this place at random just driving into Zionsville. We got right in even though they were busy and it was a Friday night. Finally, a menu that I can actually understand that doesn't use fancy foodie words like "confit" and "haricot vert". Simple, tasty, and comforting food is what they serve. I had the chicken florentine with spinach, ham, and cream sauce. It was very good, but the biggest surprise was when I tasted the mashed potatoes. Over time my palate has changed and I now like horsradish, and the mash taters were flavored with fresh horsradish, just the right amount. Bursting full of flavor, I could have ate an entire bowl of the mash taters. Great service, cozy atmosphere. I would consider this place a definite neighborhood gem, and good prices too! You get plenty of food and almost every entree is under $20. What a breath of fresh air!

“Great, Quaint, Fun, Tasty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

This is a great date-night destination, though you will see families here, the owners cater to Indianapolis gastronomical tendencies and the variety of brews on tap as well as a compact but traditional and tasty menu are a winning combination.
