“Just an average hotel stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

Spent 2 weeks at this hotel while attending training. The rooms are pleasant and clean. The bed was better than average, with 4 pillows of different densitie, so; it was easy to find one that worked for me. The rooms all seemed to have large (40") flat-screen televisions with the usual assortment of available channels. The bar in the hotel had a good selection of food and beverages, but be prepared to pay high rates (there is an Applebee's across the parking lot). There is also a Walmart across the street in case you forget to pack anything. The pool area is attractive and includes a hot tub. Others in our group said the workout room was nicely equipped. The hotel staff was a mixed bag; most days they were pleasant and helpful, but a couple were rude and intentionally unhelpful. Overall I rate this hotel as average for the price.

Stayed with my son for a Purdue college visit. It has a decent king plus sofabed suite, but nothing else to recommend it. The property is run down to the point of appearing abandoned. Furniture is dinged and dated. Go elsewhere if you can.

Sept. 3rd. Didn't have a reservation, as had different plans. But Lizzie at the front desk was great -- we came in late, maybe 9 pm, checked us in, found us in their system, was able to upgrade us & offer the 4pm checkout, which was very helpful. We were in town helping family move, & would be watching 3 young grandchildren, so she offered to move us to a first floor location, because that would be easier if we had them with us.
Had b-fast next morning. Large glasses of OJ was poured when the menus were delivered. Coffee was good, meal was large -- too much for me, ok for husband.
Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Membership does have it privileges -- their Starwood program seems pretty good.

My daughter just went to Purdue as a freshman. When we were visiting colleges we stayed here because it was close to Purdue. We have stayed here 2 times already and I expect to stay here again.

The rooms are decent and clean. The front desk employees were the only employees I actually interacted with and they were very nice and accommodating.

It is close to Purdue. Rates are fair and its is a pretty decent, clean hotel. I'll definitely be coming back..

Room Tip: Atrium rooms open to the pool area. If you want a more quiet room, ask for a room that isn't aro...

We chose to stay here for a college visit at Purdue. Really any hotel you choose in West Lafayette is close to the campus. There were 4 of us, myself, my husband, and two teens. They only offered 2 double beds so that is what we got. Upon entering the hotel, it looks very nice and newly remodeled and very modern. Everything is open, so our third floor room overlooked the pool and the dining room. We were in room 314. The room obviously had attempts made at upgrading, but it is was as if they stopped at the bathroom. They added granite counter tops to the sink area, and upgraded with nice mirrors and accessories. Then enter the bathroom which held the toilet and shower tub. The fixtures were old and when you turned on the shower, it sounded as if the pipes would explode. That sound remained throughout the whole shower and any time it was turned on. The towel bar fell off as soon as a wet towel was hung on it. I typically have the fan on the A/C run all night to drown out hotel noise, but this fan was not working. The A/C worked fine, but the fan did not remain on even when turned on. So, about 5am, you begin to hear sounds of staff setting up for breakfast, followed by the steady clinking of dishes from people beginning to eat at 6:30 am. We slept awful, and it is never comfortable to try to squeeze 2 people in double beds. We are not big people, but we are used to a king sized bed at home, but sleep comfortably in queens in hotels. The breakfast was good with a lot of variety on the buffet, including made to order omelets and waffles. However, unless you upgrade top the breakfast package with your AAA membership, you are paying for breakfast. Even then, it only included 2 breakfasts, so our stay ended up being 129.00 plus tax and the cost of 2 additional breakfasts. The staff was friendly, and checking in and out was easy, but there was no express check out offered.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the dining and pool areas if there are any. The only windows in our rooms w...

Dear Andert01,

Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay at our hotel. We are glad you found our hotel to be modern and nice. Also, we are happy that you enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the level of friendliness of our staff. At the same time, we want to apologize for your troubles with the shower and towel bar. We are also sorry that you were not able to sleep well, due to the noise from our breakfast preparation.

Once again, thank you for your stay, and we hope you enjoyed your visit to Purdue.

My daughter and I spent a great two nights. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub, as well as the breakfast buffet. The spiral staircases and greenery were nice touches, and we slept very well in the comfortable beds. The staff was friendly, and I had no trouble printing our boarding passes in the lobby.

I was looking for a place to stay while my group was in town for a seminar. This place was great. The indoor pool makes this location a year round destination in its own right. I was there in July. The Air conditioning was Fantastic. There is a outdoor pool that looked inviting until I looked close. The local trees add a bit more to the pool than I was interested in. There is a Fitness center to keep your cardio up.
Wed. night has a Managers reception that was not very well attended. The food and drinks were free!! The hours were close to convenient.

Room Tip: Ask for the Break fast package.
