I chose this hotel because of my trust in Sheraton brand but discovered that it is far from the level of service nor comfort of other Sheratons that I stayed in other parts of the world. The hotel is noisy, the walls are very thin, rooms are below average, the service is lousy. I think sheraton must seriously consider taking out its logo, or make a serious upgrade of both management and of the facilities. Shopping center Walmart is across the street, so very convenient if you have shopping needs but far away from city center compared with other chain hotels. If you are obliged to stay ask for rooms away from the pool and breakfast area. Air conditioning extremely noisy equipment in the rooms!,

Clean, safe, 2 pools, quiet, good breakfast. Breakfast was $10 on w/e for buffet was very very good.. Inside and outside pools. Gathering places available. Gave us a private breakfast room for extended family time. Very, very clean. No fridge or microwave. Beds very comfy--4 pillows on every bed. Walmart is across the road and restaurants within a few blocks. If your room looks down into pool area you can hear even soft conversation, so if that bothers you ask for a room elsewhere. It is quiet by 10:30 when it closes. Also there was a blinking red light on the smoke alarm over my bed that bothered me.

Really, not a bad hotel EXCEPT...

This is my third time to this hotel. Rooms nicely appointed (the gold upgrade room that is) BUT, if you intend to sleep before 10:30 PM forget it. That is when the indoor pool closes and when the piercing, screaming, echoing, high pitched voices from the seemingly ever-present kid-groups in the hotel ceases. Seems like every room in the hotel is penetrated. It is mostly impossible to avoid the noise, even after several room moves! Unfortunately I must arise early for work, so very irritating. They really need to work on soundproofing the rooms. I am working on findiing another hotel, 3 times at this one and 3X the same problem. Staff very coy about the issue and a lot of lip service but no action to resolve the issue.

I have stayed here before it became a Sheraton property. Mostly hated the place. The hotel is saddled with awful architecture. We stayed in a suite, which I highly recommend. It was quiet. Stay away from any food service. I do not have confidence in the food. Had a breakfast that was swimming in grease. The indoor pool is overwhelming with the smell of chlorine- which permeates much of the property. There is an outdoor pool, which is tiny, but nice on sunny days. My husband always complained about the microscopic toilets. BIG NEWS. Sheraton has replaced the toilets, so we can't complain! The location is excellent for visiting people and institutions in and around West Lafayette. I have found the employees to be odd acting; that has lessened with the change to a Sheraton property. However, it sometimes is difficult to get the employees to respond appropriately. You are within walking distance of Applebees and Walmart - welcome to the Midwest.
