If you stop by Fiesta Mexican Grill on a weekday, you'll likely encounter a line of hungry Purdue students and staff who have made this little eatery a regular stop. The food is basic, but delicious. It's prepared to order while you watch, and I've never had a bad meal there. Even during the buy lunch hour the line moves quickly but if you do have to wait a few minutes for your food, it's worth it. My favorite dish is the shredded chicken burrito served enchilda style meaning it's covered with the sauce of your choice and cheese and then put on a little conveyer belt to make a trip through a little oven. In a matter of minutes the burrito comes out hot and delicious. Next, your dish is garnished to your liking with a choice of salsa, sour cream guacamole, lettuce, etc. Just thinking a about the tantalizing combination of flavors, especially the tangy mild sauce, makes my mouth water. Besides burritos, you can also choose from nachos, tacos, a salad, or quesadillas made with your choice of meat, beans, and sauce. The barbacoa is very popular--try some in a quesadilla for a real treat. No, this is not a fancy place, but if you want good food quickly as a reasonable price, it's a great choice for lunch or dinner. Carry-out is also available.
