“July, 2014”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014

This was our first stay in Terre Haute. The front staff was very professional and welcoming and our room was clean. Breakfast was very good. My only complaint might be we had a very rowdy group on the floor above us which made for a less than quiet stay here. It was on a holiday weekend and there were a lot of fireworks being set off in the parking area and all around. We would give this hotel another stay when back in the area.

Betty Stayed there June 16, 2014. It was very nice and convenient for our trip. We had a good nights sleep and the breakfast for the most part. Seems that all Fairfield Inns have the same setup for the breakfast but the ones in Atlanta, GA make the best oatmeal.

As other reviewers have said, this place is a little hard to find, because the trees have overgrown the sign. The hotel is clean and looks to have had a recent refit. Friendly and helpful staff. Better than average rooms and facilities. Quiet neighborhood despite being close to the interstate. Lots of restaurants nearby, two within walking distance. Breakfast ok, but no creamer for the coffee, only cartons of milk, so a bit wasteful.

This is a strange little property hidden behind the main drag, and then hidden again behind another hotel. Even the parking lot is strange-there's a front lot, apparently for trucks, and a back lot for the motel proper which can only be reached by going around through the other hotel's entrance.
Other reviewers had noted this has been recently renovated-didn't see it. It's kind of tired inside. The little fridge didn't work and the breakfast, at 6:10 in the morning (i.e., ten minutes after being opened) was ghastly: an entire chafing dish full of large, greasy sausage patties burned black on one side and fruit salad that had been frozen and thawed so many times the pieces were turned to mush.
However, whether it was the location, the older construction of the building, or just luck of the draw, that was absolutely the quietest night I've spent in a motel in several years, at all price points. Holy Sominex, was that place quiet.
Desk personnel were pretty cool, too. I'm starting to count on that at Marriott properties.

Room Tip: The lot in front was full of service trucks. That's starting to look good as a positive indicato...

We stayed here on a drive cross country and it worked out great. The stay was exactly what we were looking for. Restaurants are within walking distance. Service was excellent and the rooms were quiet. We would stay here again.

We have stayed at this Fairfield Inn for the past 6 years while our son was a student at Rose-Hulman. We have had only good experiences at this hotel. The last visit in May 2014 we stayed in a new renovated room and it only made the hotel that much better. Sadly, our visits to Terre Haute have come to an end and we will probably not visit again. I highly recommend this hotel, they always have gone above and beyond. Ask for the Rose-Hulman discount, well worth it.

This hotel was completely renovated in 2013 and it is very clean, comfortable, well staffed and managed. We arrived late but we were pleasantly greeted and immediately welcomed. We had a reservation. The room was nicely decorated, clean, comfortable and quite. Breakfast the following morning was ample, tasty, and healthy choices were available. The morning staff was cheerful, helpful and efficient. This is a very pleasant hotel and we would stay there again when we are in the area.
