My sister and I booked a room at this hotel for one night. We called prior to our arrival when we realized that we'd be there before the check in time and they allowed us to check in early. The hotel is small but it was clean, updated decor and had a nice pool area. We stayed on the second floor in room 223. The rooms were nice and clean and we were provided with cable, wireless internet service, blowdryer, iron, coffee and coffee maker and laundry service. And of course there was A/C and an option on the phone to prepay movies with your credit card.

This hotel also had a wonderful free breakfast with a beautiful dining area. The breakfast had a wide selection to choose from; cereals, pastries, Jimmy Dean sausage sandwhich, yogurts, eggs, juices, coffee, waffles and I am very sure I've forgotten something else. Trust me there was no shortage of selection with this breakfast.

And there's the staff : ) They were wonderful. I did not catch the young lady's name at the desk ( tall blonde lady who I talked with on the phone ,prior to check -in) but she was extremely nice and quite helpful. Thank you so much .

i will stay at this hotel again when I come back to Terre Haute to visit my family.

Comfortable, but don't plan to sleep in...

My work keeps me out at odd hours, so I sometimes need to sleep in. With all the hotels I stay in, it's been a long time since I heard a maid going door-to-door, knocking on each one yelling "housekeeping." Don't they have a protocol for how to choose rooms to clean? Nevertheless, at 10:30AM she even knocked on mine, even though the "do not disturb" sign was clearly out. Needless to say, I didn't sleep too well here. Otherwise, it's a nice hotel - the rooms are clean and comfortable. They need to train that maid!!!

I stayed at this Fairfield for 3 nights.
First, the staff was very helpful and courteous. I needed help printing on the lobby computer and the desk staff jumped right on my problem and fixed it. This is the second time I have stayed at this Fairfield over the past year and always have had a good experience with the staff.
The room was clean when I checked in and was cleaned nicely each day.
The continental breakfast had plenty of options for such a service and the staff kept busy keeping it stocked.
The only negative I have is the location of this hotel. It does not sit directly on the road, but sits behind a large parking lot for semi-trucks (I do not know who owns this lot). And that lot is not paved. So the view from the front of the hotel (and front facing rooms) is a dirt or mud pit. There was also a large downfall of rain one night which resulted in the side road to the Fairfield being completely flooded all of the next day. Besides the mud pit described above, this was the only place in that area that flooded.
I have stayed at many Fairfields over the years, and while the room and service was great, the location of this one in Terre Haute is the worst I have seen.

  • Liked — Very nice staff!
  • Disliked — Location of the property overlooks a dirt pit of a parking lot

Sort of off the main highway and not very well marked. The pool was nice and the kids enjoyed it! The front desk was helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was great! Last stay on this trip and it was good to finish it on a high note!

I was traveling for three weeks on business and chose Fairfield Inn at Terre Haute. The staff was helpful and very professional. I stayed in a suite and the room was very clean and modern. The bed was great.

The only downfall - my room was directly above the pool and if it was completely quiet in my room, I could hearing children enjoying their time in the pool. I did not mind as the pool closed before bedtime.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Unfortunately, I had to change hotels only after three nights as I was traveling on business and I could not connect to the internet via the telephone. The wireless internet worked awesome in the room however, because of the nature of my work, I needed to connect via the telephone. I was sad to go.

If you are looking for a good price for a nice, modern, clean hotel, this is the one for you.
