My husband an I stayed at this Econolodge Feb. 16&17, 2006. The property was attractive and looked like a small community of townhomes. We were first assigned a room in the very rear. It was right next to the interstate and was very loud, so I asked to move further inward. Though we booked a King room, we had to settle for either a queen room or 2-double beds, because all of the king rooms were on the back side. Overall, the room was nice, quiet and clean. Refrigerator and microwave were clean and working. The room had a slight, stale odor, but we just freshened it with room spray that we brought just in case. Also, they were having problems with the card-key locks, so we had to use manual keys. The next day, the problem was fixed, but none of it was inconvenient or troublesome. The beds were not the most comfortable, but typical for economy hotel beds. The heater made noise while it ran and was a bit annoying to my sensitive ears, but my husband barely noticed it. The location was great--walking distance to steakhouses, Starbucks and semi-fine dining (European Grill). Many other restaurants and stores were everywhere and very close by. Indiana State University and the surrounding downtown area was only a couple of miles down the street. Overall, it was a great value--less than $50 per night.
