Fantastic Romantic Mid-week Escape! Queen Anne Inn Bed & Breakfast 420 West Washington in South Bend. Wednesday. 5:30 hors d'eauvors, 6:00 Gormet dinner with live musical entertainment in the historic dining room. After dinner, we relaxed on the spacious wraparound porch with a cold glass of home made lemonade and fresh baked brownies and then took a liesurely walk through Historic Downtown South Bend. Next, we spent a quiet romantic night in a luxurious room complete with complimentary (non-alcoholic) champaign and chocolate covered strawberries. Finally it was awesome to awaken to the delicate smells of a full hot gormet breakfast early enough to begin a busy day. $99.00 per couple (not including tax and gratuity). It put the spring back in our step!

The rooms are nice but a bit on the small side and the outside is a bit run down. However, for the price, cleanliness, and hospitially....it's definitely worth going to. The hosts were very nice and made you feel welcome. The house is beautifully decorated...lost of antiques. They also provide scrumptious snacks throughout the day. A good base of operations while staying busy in South Bend.

  • Disliked — No TV but then we got the cheapest room.;-)

What a wonderful stay. The Historical home was beautiful. Each room was a treat. The breakfast was great and the innkeepers are delightful. I made reservation for next year. Also it's a very safe place for a woman traveling alone for business. I recommend it!
