“Good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

Any time we are in Seymour we have to eat here! No matter what time day or night we get the same thing. Corned beef hash breakfast. It is SO GOOD! I have had their fish once. It was really good too. Sometimes the service is a little slow. But, the girls are always friendly. Drawback is they ONLY TAKE CASH! So be prepared!

“Interesting place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2013

Down home atmosphere but not really prepared for large groups. Food was good and local. Had breakfast and the portions were good. Price was fair.

“Not the Waffle House you're thinking of...great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

We go to Seymour once a year and this is always a must have for breakfast. It's not part of the Waffle House chain with the yellow awnings - it's locally owned. It's cash only, but there is an atm in the foyer if you need it. Portions are plentiful and the food is always good. This is the first place I ever tried fried mush and fell in love with it. The waitresses are very friendly and keep your coffee cup full. You really can't go wrong with anything you try on the breakfast menu. One day we may make it there for lunch or dinner. Check out the candy machines in the foyer and grab a fake mustache - they're a lot of fun!

“More than I could eat (and I didn't order the all you can eat ... )”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

http://legacy.ybsitecenter.com/images/cdr/var/jz/519519/1782002-MENU.pdf

Above is a link to an old ? menu, it is more than just breakfasts. Their current menu is closer to that of a Perkins or Denny's.

The closest food to the Allstate Inn, next closest is the truckstop a half a mile away.

CASH ONLY

Neither of us went for the all you could eat chicken (or whatever it was that night). I had a pattymelt and the other person had a porkchop sandwich. Both were more than each of us could eat. Meals come with fries and cole slaw. I sub’ed a salad for fries and ended up with both. Salad was fresh, pattymelt was gooood.

Sometimes it’s good to put name brands on your menu, like their ‘’ kautchup, but I just couldn’t bring myself to even ask about the soup when it showed the ‘Campels’ icon next to it.

Service was good, not pushy or overly chatty.
