We stayed two nights in Rising Sun for an arts festival. The first night we went to the Courtyard - it's slim pickings for restaurants in this small town.
I had shrimp scampi, which wasn't too shabby, but nothing too remember. My boyfriend and friend had salads each, which were fresh from the bag from the grocery store - the dressings were unforgettable and you can tell they were nothing homemade. THe final member of our group had a steak, which was cooked fine and she had no complaints.
The service was okay, our waitress was blunt, rude, and seemed annoyed just taking our order. Other staff members helped out occasionally, much to their dismay.
The second night we went there again, three of us. We had chicken fingers that made Long John Silvers taste like 4-star dining and french fries that had to be freezer burned. It was our waitresses first night, which was fine, but the rest of the staff was quite rude.
We ate inside both nights, due to the bugs. Both nights were really mediocre and below average, and the menu even had misspellings on it galore.
I wish I would have eaten at the casino instead!
