“Could use a facelift”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2007

The hotel overall was forgettable. The room and hotel upon arrival seemed dated. Furnishings and linens seemed to have seen better days. The air conditioner though must have been from this decade because it worked very well. Parking seemed a bit tight if you were to check in late in the evening along with other patrons. Some guests had to park on the street because there was no parking available in the hotel parking lot. Hotel staff was helpful with any questions, but seemed unprofessional in doing so. Most of the times upon entering the lobby, the staff memeber was eating at the desk and/or to busy talking to friends/family to help. There are a lot of options two exits down in Richmond toward the Ohio border for hotels and restaurants. I would tend to not stay here again or reccommend to anyone else.

Not a luxury property by any means, but rooms were very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was O.K., but nothing to rave about. Overall, I got what I expected from this stay- comfortable, convenient and affordable accomodations.

This is not a new Comfort Inn, but was adequate for one night. We requested a rollaway bed, but the room was so small that we had to rearrange the whole room in order to open it. The A/C worked well and we used it even when the room got cold. Why? Our non-smoking room was next to a smoking room and the stench seeped in. The A/C kept the smell at bay. This is a problem I had with Sleep and Comfort Inns. Why don't they make one wing or section smoking and keep the rest of the hotel non-smoking? Instead, they'll have non-smoking rooms surrounded by smoking rooms. I'm going to try to avoid this chain in the future for this reason.

Breakfast was great. Love those Belgian waffles!

I'm not sure if this hotel is under new management since the previous review but our rooms were very clean, appeared to have brand new wallpaper in the bathroom. Everything was clean and comfortable. The breakfast could use some improvement. Not much to choose from, we left and went out for breakfast. I didn't use the pool or the spa but those we were with seemed to think it was ok. Conveniently located off the interstate and the price was right, around $64.00 per night

This is now a nasty motel. It used to be fairly decent so I don't know what happened. The rooms are smelly and dirty (real dirt dirty, not just the ancient comforters) and it's definitely a low class motel. We had problems with check-in not being aware that we were coming (even though we had a reservation) and although the staff were nice enough, the motel is just so disgusting it just didn't matter. We had to leave while they cleaned our room then when we got back it was still uncleaned with the door standing wide open. There was a huge, leaking hole over a hallway with a large trash can catching the water and it stunk. The internet service was unavailable (conveniently only just those days we were there) and the response we got regarding that situation was far less than satisfactory- they obviously did not or could not deal with the issue. Personally, I did not feel safe in this motel either. And the continental breakfast? Uggghhhh... nasty, stale and unacceptable. Save yourself and drive the extra 15 minutes to the new Hampton Inn on the east side of town just off 70... you'll be much happier, especially with the comparable price.
