“Smoky”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

We stopped here on our way through Indiana and were not impressed. The non-smoking rooms were obviously converted smoking rooms. I opened the window even though it was over 100 degrees outside in an attempt to get some fresh air in the room. The room wasn't dirty, but not clean either; well-warn would describe it. I kept my suitcase closed so my clothes would not reek of smoke. My parent's room had 2 ripped bedspreads and the hotel was not quiet at night. The people across the hall had their door propped open and let it slam against the door lock every time they came and went. The bathroom sink looked new and there was some construction around, so hopefully they are remodeling soon! Staff was nice.

This hotel was not clean, even though they said it had been newly remodeled. There was no elevator, and the stairs were dirty. The vents were missing in the hallway and there were no screens to keep out bugs. This hotel would not even accept their own coupon from a hotel magazine because there were events going on in the area, so we paid a pretty hefty price for the room. We found the bathroom hadn't been fully cleaned and some of the items were missing. The egss were really cold and tasteless at breakfast. The beds were clean, however and the staff was accomodating. The manager even took off part of our bill when we told her about the room. I wouldn't stay again, it was just too dirty, overall.

Requested non-somoking room but upon arrival received a smoking room. Upon informing attendant of smoking room, it took 30 minutes to change rooms. Room was dirty (stains on bedspread, dirty floor, missing cover for outlet sockets and dirty toilet) and had to go to Meijers (across street) to get sheets, face clothes and towels.

Would have requested refund but due to college graduations all hotels in area was booked.

Definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Our King Suite was large, clean and comfortable. Everything worked although the card reader on the rear entrance was a little cranky. The Refrigerator had a small freezer compartment. Indoor pool was too cool for our comfort but the hot tub was just right. Really friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast included sausage and eggs and waffles, as well as the usual assorment of hot and cold cereal and pastries. When we were in late April the rates were still very good. We would recommend this hotel and will stay there again if we are in the area. In fact we stayed there and drove the Air Museum in Dayton rather than moving to another hotel closer.

My husband and I stayed here twice this month on our way to and from a place farther west. The staff was very friendly and that really stood out to me. The rooms were adequate and clean. This motel needs some major repair ( new windows and bath improvements) and a good spring cleaning. (corners of room and base boards) Our bedding was fresh and clean and the breakfast was hot and several items to choose from. We sill stay there again if we go to that area. Paid $59. per night w/ aarp discount and that included our breakfast !

Not much to say about this one but it is what it is your typical, old, ancient, basic run down Comfort Inn, there are tons like this all across the US. I'd serious doubt the hotel has seen many upgrades at all in years, if any. It's the kind of place where you look forward to getting up in the morning loading up the car and getting the heck out of town.

Basically, what it boils down too is if your use to staying in Hilton and Marriott hotels you'd probably think this Comfort Inn is the biggest dump ever but if your use to staying in Motel 6's and Super 8's then you would probably think its perfectly adequate.

If you can get a $49 Room Saver coupon for this hotel or something and all you need is a bed and hot shower then I'd say go for it but if you have to pay $70+ for it like I did then your better off looking elsewhere because it sure as heck isn't worth that.

Great place for an overnight stay. Rooms were clean, old tv but fully functional. Internet connection worked well. Breakfast was good (they had cinnamon waffles!), and the staff friendly. Will stay again.
