“Interesting history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

Very nice place, we learned alot. The grounds will be beautiful in the spring and summer. We intend to come back when everything is in bloom.

“Beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

It was very informative and rich in history. Everything has been kept in excellent condition from the furniture, to the buildings, to the grounds! If you like history at all, make this a stop.

The gardens, house and studio/museum were wonderful. The tour guides very informative and interesting. Our whole group, ages 5 to 45 stayed involved and behaved the entire time. Thanks.

“Lovely!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

My husband and I toured the house and studio and walked the grounds on a recent visit to Brown County. There is a $4 fee for the guided tour of the house and studio, and it's well worth it. That's the only way you can see the interiors and the paintings and furnishings. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the painter and his wife, and we enjoyed hearing her stories. We strolled down the hill to the cabin and then over to the cemetery and formal garden. The grounds are very well maintained and just simply beautiful. It's a peaceful setting, and I can see why T.C. and Selma feel in love with it. I bought a copy of "The House of the Singing Winds" book and am thoroughly enjoying reading more about their life.
