“Visiting son at college.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

While the hotel is very convenient to the university, it is very much dated. The price is right, but the walls are paper thin and you can hear the shower and toilet flushing from the units next to yours. The continental breakfast is adequate.l

The motel was a good price. That is about the only thing good. NO ELEVATOR. The room that claims to have a sofa bed, actually only has a sofa....THAT IS NOT A SOFA BED! It also had a very strong odor, like stale stagnant air. Possibly used to be a smoking room. It was very hard to remain in the room. Usually you would get used to a smell and not notice it. I will admit we became sort of accustomed to it, but even after being in the room for hours we could still smell it. However when we left and returned, there was such a pungent odor it nearly bowled us over. We were in the area for a college audition, so we remained in the hotel. College is expensive enough, so we saved some $$ by staying here. However, I will never stay in this hotel again.

The bedspreads had cigarette burn holes and were frayed. I will say the sheets were clean, but the pillows smelled as bad as the room. The heat worked...so that was a plus. The breakfast was lacking. The "orange juice" was orange in color but likely some other kind of orange drink. Apparently they used to have a waffle maker, but they do not any longer. Typical pastries. There was a fresh orange that looked like it had been there for a loooong time and was super squishy.

The doors slam VERY hard and the walls are thin so a light sleeper would have a bad time.

I am not a hotel/motel snob. We are the kind of folks who stay in inexpensive hotels when we travel. Unfortunately this motel was below even our standards. I would not recommend that anyone stay here.

We were pleased with the kindness of the front desk clerk. The breakfast offered a nice selection of foods. The beds were comfortable and the room was pretty clean. The lobby computer had hi speed internet. A very pleasant experience.

Room Tip: it is close to Ball State and restaurants and shopping.

This was probably the dirtiest and unkempt hotel I stayed at during my last three weeks of travel for internship sites. The bed sheets had a couple stains, pillow cases were dirty and worn out (I had to put a towel across it before going to bed), there was no hotel so I assume many have to lug their heavy suitcases up and down the stairs, there was no toilet paper when I entered the room. But what do you expect for a Days Inn?

Will stay again!!!!
Weakest points: towels & bedding. Manager says new bedding has been delivered and putting it out now.
Breakfast as you'd expect. .... Pastries could and should be from concannons bakery(just dwn Bethel Ave) instead of out of a box.
But......they do have a waffel maker!!
