“Quiet, comfortable, relaxing g place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

Spring Mill Inn is a peaceful quiet place to stay surrounded by the beauty and sounds of nature. We stayed 4 nights and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the wonderful front porch and rockers as a peaceful place to relax and the lovely pool to cool off and relax. The trails were beautiful to hike and the Pioneer village is one of our favorite places to visit. We ate in the dinning room two meals per day and our meals were good. The prices are not cheap but are competitive to other sit down restaurants. It was difficult at some meals to find low fat foods for my my husbands diet. The staff was very helpful. My father passed away on the day we were to arrive but when I called to change the reservation the staff was extremely helpful and understanding. We set the date three weeks ahead and we really needed the peaceful escape provided at the inn. We selected the Hoosier Get Away package and had delicious treats, cheeses, fruit and chilled sparkling grape juice waiting g for us in our room when we arrived. It was a wonderful room and place for us to heal and relax after a difficult time. The room was small but bathroom was large and it 'll suited our needs. Wish room had been large enough for two of the wonderful wood rockers rather than just one. We had a king bed room.

If this hotel was sitting along an interstate exit I would say it was a little rough, but the setting of spring mill state park is amazing. Room was a little run down and the DVD player was a little out of place. No cell service, free but slow and spotty wifi. Restruant was ok priced but food was not very good. We did meet here for a family reunion however and for that this was the perfect place.

Very nice Inn situation in Sprig Mill State park. Lots of activities in the Park to do. Visit the Grissom Space Museum or the pioneer village complete with a working Grist Mill. Explore caves or the old Hamer Cemetary.

Spring Mill has been a part of my life as far back as I can remember. My cousin and I would ride our bicycles out to the park at least twice a week throughout our young summers. As an adult, I introduced my kids to the park and now they spend time there regularly.

My wife and I eat at the Inn, and the service and staff are always excellent. The food is amazing! Simply the best home cooked style food you will find anywhere. Another reviewer mentioned the pie and cornbread. I couldn't agree more with his observations. The pie is so good I joke that it, "will almost make you weep." The cornbread is the best I've ever had.

If anyone ever asks my wife and I where to go, we always tell them, "Spring Mill Park, and don't forget to stop by the Inn and eat. Once you do, you will be back again and again."

To the staff at Spring Mill: Keep doing what you do folks. The relaxation and enjoyment that you provide in this day and age is invaluable. To everyone: If you have never visited Spring Mill Park or have never dined at the Inn, take a few days and do so. You won't want to pass back through the gate going out. And I promise you this--you will be back!

Stayed here enroute to another destination for a long weekend. Nice facility with accommodating staff. We thoroughly enjoyed the short trail hiking opportunities (all under 2.5 miles over extremely moderate terrain,) as a relax break in our trip. Lots of local wildlife. Modern, clean rooms. As with most state park lodges around the country, there's not a lot nearby other than the great outdoors, so the only walkable dining is on premises. The buffet breakfast was quite good. Know before you stay no alcohol is sold at the facility (although it is not prohibited.)

I have only gone to the Inn to eat. Each time I have been there, it has proven to be a delight.
Excellent but down-home type food. You won't belive the variety of desserts -- especially the pies.
I really loved the homemade cornbread.
Pretty.

Loved this Inn! It was absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend staying there! The rooms were clean and lovely. The pool was warm and the game room had so much to choose from. I cannot say enough about this place. The food was wonderful and very reasonable.
