“Great place to take visitors”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2014

While out with our company showing them the area we stopped here for lunch and as usual the food was tasty and plentiful. We been here dozens of times and have never been disappointed with the food or service. Today there was only a couple minute wait before being seated and we choose the buffet. Our friends were impressed with the taste of the food and are looking forward to coming back. We stopped at the bakery on the way out and bought some bread and breakfast buns to take home.

“Great Amish Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2014

There was nothing at this restaurant/buffet/gift shop that we didn't like. The food was wonderful, even the spaghetti tasted great. The salad bar was perfect.

“Overall good, great if you like pie!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

The restaurant doesn't take reservations, but if you are staying in the inn, you can. The family style dinner was very good. Limited selections on sides, but the chicken was delicious. The second night we ordered off the menu (family style is just way too much food!) and that was very good too. The spinach salad was excellent. If you are a pie eater, this is the place. They have 30 different kinds! Pie isn't my thing but even I had to try it.

The dining rooms are mostly just functional, not as charming as the inn itself. The attached bakery has the biggest donuts I've ever seen. Overall a good experience.

“It's all about the pie!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2014

We love going to Amish country in northern Indiana at least once a year. We ALWAYS eat at here. There are 2 dining rooms, one where you order family style, and one where you order off the menu. In our younger days, we did family style, but now find it is too much food. We always get the fried chicken and always save room for dessert. There must be about 30 home made pies on the menu. Many tempt me, but I cannot leave with a slice of the raspberry custard creme. A slice of pure deliciousness! My mouth is watering as I think about it...

“Coconut cream pie is a must”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2014

We come here everytime we visit Shipshewana. Only problem is the wait on flea market days. I always get the coconut crème pie and my husband gets the dutch apple with ice cream. Always gotta take a pie home and the dinner rolls too!!!!!
