“A tiny taste of the eccentric in elegant surroundings.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

Loved our stay can't wait to go again. The library was lovely, the food was excellent and George and Lee were fabulous hosts. The holiday season is almost upon us, we can't wait to visit when the inn is decorated in its Christmas splendor.

My hubby and I stayed here for a quick weekend getaway. The owners and lady who runs the onsite restaurant were just as sweet and welcoming as could be. The inn was quiet and provided a peaceful night's sleep. The real highlight was the dinner and breakfast we received while staying there. Both were excellent and well prepared:) it was a nice experience all in all.

My husband and I celebrated our 16th anniversary here. The staff was very friendly and the Inn has quiet places to relax. It is not a huge place but it is unique. The Inn is so relaxing that we thought we were the only ones there; however, there were two other couples enjoying the evening there as well. As you walk into the foyer, you are transported back in time to a beautiful, romantic, country victorian style world. It feels as if time just stands still. The Inn is full of timeless antiques including gorgeous tapestries, china, and nicknacks. There is a breakfast parlor, pub style bar & dinning room on the main floor. There is a mixture of rooms on the 2nd floor which includes the bedrooms. It was pleasantly clean as well. Unfortunatly, the surrounding grounds suffered badly with the drought this year and it appeared rundown to the naked eye but once you paused to take a breathe, you could see the love and memories that have built the Inn into what it is today. Thank you for the "pause" in our busy lives.

Room Tip: If you are used to a larger bed, be sure to stay in a room with a king bed. Feel free to call them...

Inntiquity is the most unique B&B we have ever stayed in. Lee and George converted an old barn and constructed several large rooms upstairs. While the rooms have their own themes (we stayed in the Oriental Room), the original wood of the barn was left visible and unfinished. Century-old wood has a distinctive perfume which is definitely not mold or mildew - but it is different. Lee and George have amassed an exceptional collection of literature, art, media, and furniture antiques with which they have decorated and furnished their building. The panelling of the breakfast room reminded us of an English mansion, complete with wall sconces and padded, high-back chairs. Breakfast was simply delish and plentiful. A superb cook, Lee also operates a restaurant Thurs thru Sun downstairs. As this was Monday night, alas, not open for us.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the pond are to be preferred because they open out to a porch. One can sit on desk...

Staying at Inntiquity is much like staying at a European Inn.....beautiful antiques, original woodwork, delightful Innkeepers and exquisite dining all in a romantic, charming and peaceful country wooded setting....it is truly as if you have been transported to another place and time. The decor and surroundings are unlike anything i have ever seem in a B&B or Inn in the United States. When was the last time you dined where fine china and sterling silver flatware were the norm as you were surrounded by elegant old world charm and decor?

I would not recommend this to anyone. As soon as we pulled in we knew this place was nothing like the pictures. We walked in and the smell of this place is horrific. It's a mess and stuff is everywhere. The landscaping is run down and the outside of the building is grown up and trash is everywhere. The keepers are nice, but there was no way my husband and I could stay. We were given a refund of our money and left. We have never stayed at a bed and breakfasts and this nearly ruined our perception of them.

What a wonderful stay we had back for High School Reunion. The Inntiquity rooms are so wonderful, make sure to pick out your favorite. The Princess Room had a very comfortable bed and a nice view of the pond from the deck. The breakfasts are delightful each morning and Lee and George are such gracious hosts. Leslie is a top notch cook and the food here is so delicious and very reasonably priced. The menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. The whole place is steeped in history and George is more than willing to give his guests a history lesson and his storytelling brings the past to life, as well as each piece in the Inn has a story behind it. Very quiet place to stay. George made sure he built double walls so you don't hear much activity at all outside of your room. Peaceful and tranquil setting.

Room Tip: Rooms with a king size bed are very comfortable. Make sure you take advantage of their breakfasts a...
