“A very relaxing getaway...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2012 via mobile

My husband and I needed a relaxing getaway, but still wanted to stay close to home. After many hours of web surfing, trying to find just the right place, we came across the inntiquity website, which was easy to navigate, detailed, and equipped with the capability to make online reservations. We booked the romantic retreat special and enjoyed a candlelit dinner prepared by the house chef, probably the best meal of my life, a nice clean room with a comfy bed, and a gourmet breakfast the following morning. Check out was at noon, so after breakfast, we still had a couple of hours to go back to our room and relax before leaving. The owners were friendly and accommodating. The inn was beautifully decorated with antiques and embellished with gorgeous woodwork. It was very quiet and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and have already began discussing coming back in June for our anniversary, so we can enjoy the pond, gazebo, and garden located on the grounds. I would suggest that couples spend a little extra for the bigger room with a 2 person jacuzzi. That is the only thing we would of done differently. You will enjoy your stay.

Upon arrival we were a little concerned. The outside of the Inn could use a little care. HOWEVER; it was winter time and the landscape is always a little iffy here in Indiana during the winter. As soon as we walked through the front door our opinion changed. We were welcomed and shown to our beautiful room. We then had a massage and enjoyed a DELICIOUS dinner. The dining room was beautifully decorated and so relaxing and welcoming. The entire Inn was filled with wonderful antiques and you are encouraged to explore the building. Knowing that George and Leslie built this beautiful place from the ground up made it even more appealing. We will definitely be back!!!

Room Tip: The Greek Room was beautifully decorated and definitely one of the nicest in the inn.

The Inntiquity Inn is an Indiana treasure - a true country inn. On past visits, George has given us plants from his gardens, which grow lushly because of the dairy farm that once was in the same area.

There's no better place to stay than with friendly people who are kind and comfortable to be with. We have stayed at the Inntiquity Inn so many times it now feels much like home, and we love it, especially the innkeepers themselves. My husband is now ill and having a difficult time with memory. Lee and George take it right in stride and treat him just as they always have, like a good friend. On this most recent visit, my mother passed away, and our stay was prolonged beyond our original reservation. No problem for the Naftzgers; they even turned up at the funeral service. We ate at the Inn several nights, too. Leslie, the Naftzgers' daughter, is a great chef and hostess, too.

I'm amazed how people can rate this an excellent or very good establishment. Upon our arrival, my girlfriend and I were asking ourselves, "Is this is it?" The parking lot is mostly gravel, weeds everywhere and an old pile of mulch gave us an quick idea that we might have made a mistake. The overgrown weeds really distract as well as the exterior of the building needs a lot of help. Paint cracking, windows with bad blinds and a gravel drive to the front made both of us laugh if we had the right place.

Upon entering the place is eerie. It was dark, dimly lit and just gives the impression of a haunted house. My sixth sense kept saying go back home. I kept waiting for Lurch from the Adams Family to show up somewhere. My girlfriend and I were giggling because the place gave us the creeps and she felt bad for booking the room. The room wasn't bad, yet needs paint and the bathroom needs new tiling, woodwork, tub and a shower. Its very dated. The room was clean though but the closet had leftover hangers from previous guest and the balcony was in need of repair. Old furniture and poor repainting had been applied where the paint dripped over the railings. It was just slipshod.

Before dinner we ventured to the bar and had a nice bartender and the staff were pleasant. They had basic wines and a decent selection of both beer and wine. For dinner our table had fake rose petals placed on it and a plant that needed water a week ago. They lit candles for us which made us giggle more because the plastic rose petals took the cake. Our dinner was average to below average. Apparently it seemed people from the area actually dress up to go their for dinner and I found that comical as well since the food was not that impressive. Like another reviewer wrote, I couldn't believe for the prices they asked this was for real.

If you're sensitive to things that go bump in the night or feeling like someone is watching you, that awaited us during the night stay. Both of us kept getting awaken to a point where neither one of us slept very well. I really feel this place is haunted because there is a such a creepy vibe in the air there that doesn't add up. By four in the morning my girlfriend thought we had enough and should drive back home. Being too tired to drive and exhausted we thought it was best to just try to fall back to sleep. We awoke early, left and skipped breakfast. We could get out of there sooner. The place is really rough around the edges and needs updating and better care. I would say the staff were kind and helpful, but the establishment itself needs and incredible amount of upkeep.

We were in Logansport for a family wedding and decided to stay at Inntiquity because of the great reviews of tripadvisor. We were not disappointed! Lee and George, the owners, have done a wonderful job restoring this old barn into a beautiful bed and breakfast. The Inn is filled with antiques from the Logansport area, and a tour guided by George is a must. Each room is tastefully decorated with a personality of its own. George and Lee are so warm and friendly, they make feel right at home. The bed was super comfortable, and the breakfast outstanding. Our room had a view of the lake where geese and goslings swam. We walked the lovely grounds in the evening, past the gazebo and around the lake, admiring the flowers. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and will definitely come again.
Thanks, Lee and George,
The Polleys

We have stayed here several times. It is the best accomodation in the area - a charming and interesting Country Inn. Breakfast is always excellent and served when we want it. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and pleasent to stay in. And the collection of DVDs, Videos and Books would keep one going for years - if you didn't have to leave.

What a beautiful place! The inn is beautiful and the country setting is very nice. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was yummy. The owners were very nice. When we had a flat tire and couldn't get there until very late, they waited up for us! The library was delightful and peaceful. We walked the River Bluff Trail along the Wabash River close by (a lovely hike and labyrinth) and visited several antique stores downtown where we found some great antique shopping. Leather or Not Antiques was a fabulous store with reasonable prices and LOTS of great items. We will definitely be back! And this time we will make sure to go on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night when the organic restaurant at the inn is open.
