“A place to sleep”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

The adage you get what you pay for could not be truer in this case. I don't expect a lot from a budget hotel. However, basic cleanliness is non-negotiable. The bathroom was not clean enough. To be fair, the mattress was excellent. However, the lack of attentive cleaning left that lingering worry that no one wants before closing their eyes to attempt to sleep. Also, the indoor HVAC unit sounded as if it were on life support and demanding someone end its long term suffering. If you have other options I would take them. Pay the extra $20 or 30 and don't feel it's money wasted.

I may have to change my opinion of the EconoLodge chain, ‘most’ Econo’s I have stayed at lately are along the lines of the average Days Inn / Super 8. My memory puts them in the group that includes the Knights Inn and Rodeways.

Check in was pleasant, The room was pre-cooled, so the AC works. Room was clean, quiet, water was hot. The room also seemed large, not sure if that shows that way on the pictures. Another that that I didn’t get a specific picture of was the light switches. On the pictures of the bed, you can almost see the light switch next to the bed. It had four switches on it, one for each light in the room :)

This place also has a separate area for the big rigs, not just a large lot. There is a couple of other places to eat, but I ended up at the Steak and Shake, (meals for $3.99) good food, quick.

First time visitor. Been staying at the Comfort inn across the road, but price increases during events without service increase chased me away. This motel was a good value. Hallway could use an airing out. Room was clean and very spacious. Staff was nice. Food nourishing. They have French toast instead of waffles, real milk and orange juice in a gallon jug. Waffles are coming.

Room was clean. No safe for valuables. Hot water good. Great Internet! Unlike many hotels, I logged in on Saturday and it kept my connection until Monday. Most hotels you have to login every few hours. Front desk staff cheerful and helpful. I will stay her next time.

The property was clean and well maintained. The rooms LARGE and clean. A college women's basketball team from Southern Indiana was staying the same night and I didn't hear any noise and had a good nights rest.

This is the first time Tripadvisor reviews led me astray. There was 2 inches of dust visible around the entire edge of the carpet, there was 1/4 inch of dust on top of the door hinges, the phone was dusty (along with other surfaces), the hair drier cord was filthy and there was caked soap on the soap dish area in the shower. I was concerned what else was dirty that I could NOT see!
I was not given internet log-in information and decided not to bother calling the front desk. I checked in at 1AM and when I called at 2AM to ask if I could sleep-in and have a late check-out I was told I had to ask in the morning. Really???
I was looking for a basic, clean place to take a shower and sleep a few hours. This was not it.

Very large, clean rooms with good WIFI. Excellent service checking in and out. It's not the Ritz, but for a place to crash it was just fine. There are lots of dining options all around, including a couple bars & restaurants just down the road to the east.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

We stopped here late at night after driving as far as we could on our way to another state for Thanksgiving. Service upon both check-in and check-out were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was simple, but definitely adequate and included french toast. And most of all, each member of our family of four slept very soundly in the very comfortable beds. (On the following night, we were in a different hotel and that was not the case). Very good night of sleep at the Econo Lodge in Lebanon, IN. Would happily return there again.
