“A touch of the good old days with a delicious bite to it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

This is one of the original drive-in restaurants. you pull in, roll down your window as you peruse the menu and then press the intercom and talk to the staff. Within seconds a girl is at yopur car door taking your order of Coney island style chili dogs and a large foaming root beer to wash it down. With your taste buds going crazy from the delectable aromas floating from inside, you watch your server coming your way wait a tray that she clamps to your window. the smells drive you wild as you pass everything around, placin cups in holders and hot dogs, burgers and fries on your lap, your hands trying their best to be patient as your mouth yearns to dig in. This is the way drive-ins used to be and should still be. Thank you Dog & Suds for keeping a tradition that was so much a part of my past.

“Local Favorite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013 via mobile

This is a drive in resteraunt. The food is on a tray that is secured on your car window. There is also an area that has picnic tables if you don't want eat in your car.
The locals love this place mainly because it is seasonal and only open in spring and summer.
To my memory they take CASH ONLY. This may have recently changed, but take cash to be safe.

The food is hamburgers hot dogs and fries. Nothing special. The main event on the menu is the house root beer that is served in frozen and frosted glass mugs.

Worth a try if you are in the area, but nothing worth traveling for.

The best fast food around. Coney dogs to die for. Dine in your car or on the patio. Service is very fast.

“Nostalgic Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

If you grew-up in the 50s and 60s, Dog and Suds harkens back to that age. Waitresses are no longer on roller skates, but this is a restaurant that lets you pull your car into a parking area, order from the car and they hook your food tray to your window. If you want to keep your car clean, this may not be the best stop--there is no eat-in area. Hamburgers and juicy and delicious. The fries seem like standard fare available at most sit-down restaurants and seem to lack a little bit of flavor. However, their sandwiches and root beer combinations can't be beat. Their namesake--the "Dogs" are delicious chili dogs, well stocked with chili sauce. The restaurant is a bit aged, with older screen doors (which disturbingly was missing about half of its screen), but the wait staff is extraordinarly friendly and efficient. Bit of advice: if you have a large number of people, and therefore two food trays, be prepared to have them put the trays on two windows (driver and passenger) rather than one. They stacked ours and it made the trays unstable and difficult to get to condiments placed on the bottom tray. It also makes it difficult to contact the waitress to pick up the trays when you are done.

“I think it has a double-ended car”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

We all wait for opening day at The Dog. Takes us back to the day, it does. I keep looking for Fonzie to drive up. All the food is up to snuff. Of course you already knew that, just from looking at it.
