I'm sorry to say this about a business that just opened, but the food was terrible. I had never been to a Jethro's before, but I have been to South Street Smokehouse in Lafayette. I expected it to be like that. I ordered a brisket sandwich and my husband got the ribs. For the amount of money we paid for the ribs, I expected much more than we got. They didn't have any barbecue sauce on them, and for both items, we only got 4 small (I mean really small) containers of BBQ to use. I should mention we got our food to go, so I don't know if it's different for dine-in. The ribs looked like they had a rub of some kind on them but had no marks like they had been grilled. They almost looked like they were cooked in the oven or microwave. The flavor without the sauce was lacking a great deal. With the sauce, they were better, but for the same price, we could have gone to Chili's and gotten free sides too. The sides with each of our meals was separate. We got a large mashed potato to share. They tasted just like KFC potatoes but more expensive. My brisket was ridiculous. It was dry and flavorless. The bread it came on was also dry and flavorless. I was so disappointed with the whole thing. The only thing they had going for them was the decor inside.
If you want good BBQ in Lafayette, go to South Street Smokehouse. Same price but you get fries and a pickle!!!
