DT Kirbys was recommended as a great late night place to eat and feel like a local patron. Walking up to the place we were led in by a friendly, all smiles gentleman that I felt like I had known for years. Of course it turned out to be the owner Don. The place is small, noisy and filled with locals from neighborhood residents to the local college students. Sports are on all over the place on every wall and surprisingly not on the ceiling or floor. Good selection of drinks, especially the IPAs on draft. Food, well there is a good menu and it is good. The best part of the place is seeing Don greet everyone as they come, walk around and chat with everyone and for us sitting down to talk about where he came from and how he got the bar. Also our connection with the University of Colorado... this place is like Cheers, it is where everyone knows your name and they're always glad you came. So to Don and the staff at DT Kirbys, we raise our glass of Jameson Irish Whiskey and thank you for a great evening.
