My sister and I planned on staying at this Farmstay for 3 days. We had read the reviews (nothing more recent than 2009) and checked the website which had beautiful photos. It all sounded really lovely, especially as we were looking forward to horse riding in what appeared such a lovely area. We had booked the accommodation about two months prior to the trip.
The drive to the farm stay was beautiful and we were excited about our stay. Our first impressions were very disappointing. Connie, the Proprietor, a very nice lady, pointed out the cottage we'd be staying in. It was very clean and tidy, however, there was no toilet paper anywhere in the bathroom; no toiletries at all; no towels were evident although Connie advised later that they were on a shelf which I didn't notice; no tea, coffee or milk available. The car couldn't be parked near the cottage, so our cases would have to be dragged down a narrow, steep windy stone path. Outside, some of the windows had large, old cobwebs. The beautiful views we were hoping for were just bush.
It was so disappointing that we decided to advise Connie that we wouldn't be staying, as it wasn't what we were expecting at all.
