“Candy & Cute Couple”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013 via mobile

We watched the making of watermelon fish. Jill aka "Britney" did an excellent job explaining the process as Warren was making the candy. They were adorable!! It was interesting to see how they add the color and flavor. The most fun was seeing how they separate the fish candies. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour.

“Great tour and candy making demonstration!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

Ate lunch here with my husband and 2 grandkids. Food was basic lunch counter sandwiches. Cherry ice cream float was one of the best! A tour was starting after we finished eating. Jill gives a great tour with lots of local history. Warren was dipping Modjeskas, and the kids loved watching. We all got to sample a couple of pieces of other candy too! The candy making and museum side is great, kids get a close up view of everything being made. Can't wait till the Big Four Bridge Pedway is open on the Indiana side. That will make for a great afternoon walk!

“Olde Fashioned Deliciousness”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

We arrived just as a tour was beginning! The owners, Warren and Jill, demonstrated and narrated the making of their famous red hot candies. Jill was great with keeping the kiddos attention with fun quizzes and games while she showed the candy-making process and then some of the museum display pieces! Of course we then purchase a sampling of their fine candy-work :) Yummmm!

“The BEST candy, candy making demonstration, museum!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

We found this place on a recommendation from the founder of the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati, OH, as we had been there the day before to visit, and had talked to him about going to Louisville next. This place is just over the river from Louisville, and is a DEFINITE MUST!! I can't stress that enough. We were so happy that we went there. We saw the candy making demonstration, which is given by the two owners, and they are funny and entertaining. The business has been in their family for over 120 years. They still use antique candy making machines, which are all on display. Watching them make their signature cinnamon red hots made your mouth water, and then then the best part, you got a free sample of a still warm sample of one at the end. BEST EVER! I like cinnamon, but am not a fanatic about it. This was the bomb though. SO good.

They have a candy museum, which is a big room behind the candy making demonstration area. They also have a connecting property next door, which is a cafe and where they sell their candy. Everything they make is delicious. We ended up buying a bunch of things to take home! This is a stop everyone in the family will enjoy. We ended up spending an hour or so there, and it was myself, my husband, and our 2 boys ages 10 and 12. My husband even got into a long conversation with the owners about antiques after the demonstration, as we are from Lancaster, PA, and they have actually travelled there multiple times for some of the antiques in their Candy Museum. Absolutely loved this place and it was one of the highlights of our trip so far!
