“Comfortable and clean”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2014

I was in Indy for the week for business and chose the Westin as it was a short walk to the office. Check-in was quick although they did forget to give me my breakfast vouchers. I had a king room on the 6th floor (with a great view), plenty of space, work desk and very clean. I was there for 5 nights and ate breakfast in the hotel all but the first morning (there was a 30 minute wait for a table at 7.15am!!!). There is a Starbucks in the hotel although service there seemed slow. All in all, I would certainly use the Westin again next time I'm in Indianapolis.

Thanks for taking the time to provide us with valuable feedback about your recent stay. We appreciate that you chose to stay with us and hope to see you again soon. I will pass your comments along to the team about the wait in Shula’s and the slow service in Starbucks. Again, we appreciate your feedback and will use it to help us provide a better experience in the future.

I spent a fair amount of time in the Hoosier State last summer, and stayed at a few hotels in the Indianapolis area. See my review of the Sheraton Keystone, and the Hyatt Keystone. When entering the Westin, it is apparent that it has a identity complex. THere were some easels with decorating schemes and plans in the lobby. I am not sure if they are converting the hotel to something else, renovating, or have already renovated. If it is the latter, I am sorry for them. I was given a suite that had some very strange features. The suite was large, and pretty, although very worn. The suite had two bathrooms. One bathroom featured a pedestal sink that was very short and seemed to be made for a child. The bathrooms needed updating. The club room offerings did not exist. There looks like there is a nice JW Marriott near by. Go there.

It appears that this review is from a stay pre-October 2013. Since this reviewers stay, the hotel has undergone a significant renovation of all our guest rooms, guest bathrooms and guest corridors. Each guest room has new carpet, wall vinyl, furniture, dressers, headboards, a brand new TV system of all HD channels. The Suites are all re-done with beautifully appointed sitting areas, new and increased locations for large screen TV's, and a signinificant number of locations where a guest can plug in the multiple mobile devices that they use to stay connected. We certainly appreciate the feedback but know that there have been a lot of changes since your stay.

Stayed at the Westin which is very convenient to the Convention Center [walk across on the bridge between the hotel and CC]. Desk crew and concierge are the best. Friendly and very helpful. Hotel restaurant, Shula's, is nothing remarkable and you'll do better heading off to St Elmo's, Morton's, Fogo De Chao or another of the fine restaurants within blocks of the Westin. Try the breakfast at Patachou on the Park. Wait staff is fantastic and don't be put of by thinking this is a Hippy Hangout with artsy fartsy food!
The rooms in the hotel are very nice and the housekeeping staff needs to be slipped a few extra $$$ for the great job THEY will do for you. Yes, I'd stay again and Indianapolis has much to offer. Take the UberX cabs if you can.

Room Tip: I believe any room would be nice.

Room is clean and very comfortable. Bed is, of course, heavenly. The concierge has been really helpful and the convenience to the convention center is superb. The only downside is the restaurant, Shula's, which seems to be the only breakfast option besides Starbucks. Service is slow and they seemed unprepared for the activity of even a smaller conference. Easy walk to other restaurants and shopping mall.

We chose the Westin because it is within walking distance to Lucas Oil Stadium, allowing us too walk instead of driving to our convention. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and services offered at the Westin. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept on in a hotel (and at home).

I recently stayed at the Westin Indianapolis for a business trip. The staff were very friendly and professional, check-in/out was a breeze, and everything was exceptionally clean! The location, right across the street from the State House and close to everything else downtown, couldn't be beat! The room itself was very nice - very comfortable bed, quiet, and a decent view out the window. As others have stated, the "rain shower" is great! Overall, a great stay. The only complaint I have is that there is no free Wi-Fi in the room - you have to go down to the lobby for that or pay for in-room access. However, in spite of this, I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to a friend.

Room Tip: I stayed in Room 1036, and it was pretty comfortable!

This was my first experience with Westin Hotels, and i must say, I was not disappointed. The checkin process was super smooth and fast, the room was clean and included one of those rain showers. I would recommend this location to others.
