When we arrived at our room (1023) on October 22, the bed was made, but the linen from the previous guest was still there (hence dirty bedding). The House keeping did change the bed. The next day we chose to eat breakfast 8:30 at the Hot Tuna, we stood for ten minutes before we were greeted and shown to a table. There was only one guest before us an the hostess was visiting with a personal friend. We ask to sit next to the window, she said it was reserved. We were seated to to the door to the kitchen area and waited for additional 15 minutes, we were not offered coffee, water nor even a menu. during rhe 25 minutes the window table remained vacant. I finally got up and looked at the breakfast buffet, the eggs appeared to be old, the bacon and sausage "cold" and unappetizing. I returned to the table and asked my wife if we have coffee yet. No we waited for a few more minutes an then left. One should not have to wait for 20 minutes on non service. The majority of the dining area did not have customers. We did not attempt another meal at the Omni.
After going across the street for breakfast (Another hotel, sorry to say). We approach the information desk for information about what to do by the desk attendent and if he had information about shows on the Theater strip. I do confess, I did interupt his email checking and web surfing. He gave us a booklet that was in are room. He didn't have clue, other there is a game on Sunday! Great if you are leaving on saturday.
The room was ok, could have used a vacuuming, and the bed spread needed to be laundered as well.
The hall from the Omni to the Nordstrom sky walk is loose and worn. Not very impressive, and looks like some ones hall to the garage.
The valet service was courteous, well mannered, and offered more help than the reception desk, the information desk and the definetly the restuarant.
I am disappointed in the four star service ranking. My previous exposure to Omni was in Atlanta, and then I thought I am going to stay here next time. We were disappointed.

I had to come to Indianapolis for a family function and wanted to stay on the north side of the city so I decided to stay at the Omni North Hotel. I was very happy with my speed of check in and the front desk staff was very polite. I did not know the area very well but the staff was more than helpful giving me suggestions on shopping and restaurants in the area. They even provided me with printed directions to these areas and asked if I would like directions to my family member's house were the function was being held. I thought this was very unique since most places assume you know where you are going when dealing with family events. I had never been here before and their service helped me greatly especially since my parents had given me the wrong directions. Thank you Omni staff and I will see you again when I return to Indy.

I'm not sure which Omni in Indianapolis the other reviewers were speaking about but, I stayed at the Omni Indianapolis North for a wedding and reception and had a wonderful time. The service was great and the food on the prime rib buffet in abruzzis restaurant was fabulous. I highly recommend it.

I resently visited the fine city of Indianapolis, In and I had the pleasure of staying at the Omni. Although the rooms were small and warm, the dining experience was extradonary. The "HOT TUNA" resturant residing inside the hotel, lavishes delictiable treats for the savy diner. For the seafood lover in me, they created a crab-crusted Alaskan halibut with a ginger buerre blanc. It was simply heavenly.

Where to begin....we used an online discount chain to book the room and asked for a four star hotel. We were very unhappy with the front desk when we called to make sure that we would have two double beds instead of one king size as we would be bringing our children. They would not help us at all! If we could have changed out minds at this point we would have but we had gone online and didn't have a refund option.
We arrived late and were met at the locked doors after about 10 minutes of waiting. We were so exhausted that we didn't really look at the room we just fell asleep. We didn't sleep well because the bedding was cheap and rough and the bed- spread was made out of some plastic like material that was very loud. In the morning we found that the furniture was broken, the sway to the beds left us all with a back ache. The quality of everything was worse than any budget motel I have ever stayed at! There was new carpeting through out the hotel but that was all that was new. The room was full of disrepair and out of date items. I was very disappointed and started to not feel very well to top it all off. We were riding down the elevator when someone who was working for the company asked if we were enjoying our stay. My brother in-law who had come to join us for lunch while my husband was at his convention spoke up and told her that our stay had not exactly met our expectations. She immediately had us moved to a nicer room. The front desk was VERY unhappy about the switch of rooms and his every action said so. The staff overall was flip, condescending and acted like they were above meeting the needs of the guests.
The new room was in better repair but the quality problem didn't go away! The toilet paper reminded me of our trip to Russia. It was just above brown paper towels. There was a huge problem with cleanliness. The first room suffered from long periods of hit an miss cleaning while the second room with it's newer tiles was just getting started with nice fresh problems. There was hair in the bathtub from the previous occupants. The tub itself was cheap and still had old fixtures that should have been replaced in the remodeling. The windows were filthy. There was broken glass after the room had been cleaned and they just left the smaller pieces in the door way of the bathroom. I found one with my bare feet and cleaned up what I could before the kids came back form the pool. Lets just say that we paid a fair price for room that wouldn't live up to a roadside flop house. The outside and the lobby were very deceptive of the rooms quality and service and I would have left if I could have gotten my money back and most certainly would have left anyway if our stay was not so short.
I did become ill and needed to find medical attention. The staff was not very helpful but finally very rudely said that we should try an emergency medical center right behind the hotel. Everything was so bad that our teenaged son who is normally and just due to age clueless to anything like cleanliness of a hotel room (just point him to the pool) asked as we rode down the elevator to find the med center if we had to stay in this place?
While we were out a friend called but they would not take a message and there was no answering system. They said they wouldn't get anything done if they took messages for guests. I told them it didn't look like it was helping much.
