The rooms were overpriced and small.
The pool was large and warm, but the water tasted like sweat.
On checkout day, a lady in the hall, who appeared to be management saw us carrying some items to our car and asked what room we were in - we told her we had not quite checked out yet.
When we came back upstairs, a maid had entered our room - and there were still belongings in there.
I was putting luggage in my car (still had luggage on the cart) when the bellman came out to take it. I told him I had more luggage upstairs and had planned on getting it, since it was near check out time. He said he would use it and bring it up to my room - he never did. When I came downstairs he was chatting with coworkers at the desk, and said someone else had taken the cart. I ended up having to hand-shuttle the rest of our belongings, along with 2 small children to the car on my own.
The day we were to check out (at noon), the maid knocked on our door at 9 am, waking us - she then came back at 10 am to see if we had left yet.
For a 4-star hotel I was less than impressed, and my family and I have stayed in many. I felt rushed and hurried, and like we were second class citizens. The hotel was not full, there were not people trying to check in, so I did not understand this behavior.
