We had a delicious Christmas Eve meal at Shanghai Lil, and although we had no reservations, the restaurant was quite accomodating for our party of 7. The menu is extensive, however, not as extensive as one typically finds at a Chinese restaurant. The waitstaff is extremely knowledgeable about the menu items, and our waiter was particularly helpful in pairing the selections.
We ordered the combination steamed dumplings, Dan Dan cold noodles, calamari, hot and sour soup, pineapple walnut shrimp (AMAZING!), Moo Shu chicken, beef and cilantro, Yushiung eggplant, and shrimp fried rice. Every item selected was exceptional, and we were all beyond content until the bill arrived.
Not that I expected the meal to be cheap, but I felt for what we were served, the prices were too high. That being said, I will continue dining at Shanghai Lil, however, this will be a special occasion restaurant. Enjoy-I've heard the dim sum offerings are remarkable too.
