“Just average - nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

The restaurant always seemed empty when we were there or stuck our head in for a look. Had a package at Canterbury Hotel and part included $20 toward food in the Canterbury Kitchen and Bar. Wanted breakfast but at 11:00 am. they said only lunch even though we were the only people in the restaurant. Got bean and ham soup which was okay with a corn muffin which was good and a club roll, which was also just okay. I have no reason to want to return.

“Perception”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

It is not a good as "they" think, however if you charge enough in an upscale hotel, sometimes there is a perception that it is good. Maybe you mentally try to make it good. Pass given the price. Sometimes you don't get what you pay for.

“Refined and elegant dining experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

My husband and I regularly dine at Turner's simply because we enjoy the quiet and refined ambiance as an added bonus to the fantastic menu and superb preparation by the fine chef. It's such a treat to have food prepared by a professional chef and to be served by a professional full-time wait staff as opposed to a wait staff of college students at the large downtown Indianapolis franchise restaurants. As an aside, the small intimate bar area seating is some of the best people-watching seating in all of Indianapolis.

“A moment of good food, service and quiet comfort @ INDY 500”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Very refined eats with good food, service, and atmosphere. Dimly lit with dark wood walls and trim, and the comfortable feeling of doing something out of the ordinary. Good selection of food and wine, with helpful wait staff. Prices in line with the times and place, and overall quality. All of our folks enjoyed the experience, and loved the food. If we lived in Indianapolis, this would be one of our favorites.
