This place is AWFUL! Do not waste your time going here. My family and I dined here on October 28, 2013. It was later in the evening when we arrived to have dinner. The lack of customers should have been our first clue as to the state of things. Even with only one other small group of diners, it took quite a long time for our food to arrive after we ordered.
The onion loaf was not prepared correctly. It was just a mass of large, undercooked onion rings instead of onion straws. Even though no one in our party ordered prime rib, our waitress came back to our table quite some time after we ordered to let us know they were out of prime rib. We figured out too late that she must have meant they were out of ribeyes. Three of us ordered ribeyes, but got tough, shoe leather sirloins instead. The waitress was certain they were ribeyes, but they definitely were not. We didn't blame the waitress – she was a nice young lady and doing the best she could. The "cook" should have known the difference between a sirloin and a ribeye. I guess that's how they make money: customers pay more for a ribeye but get served a cheap, tough sirloin. Four in our group got undercooked baked potatoes. When we were leaving the restaurant after this debacle of a meal, the manager apologized and said the baked potato cooker somehow got unplugged. Uh, okay, but shouldn't the "cook" have noticed that?!? Baked potatoes are generally PIPING HOT after they are cooked…..not to mention the butter would be melted. Hello?!?
The waitress and manager were aware of the various problems with our meal, but we weren't even offered any kind of discount. My family and I would have had a gourmet meal at McDonald's in comparison to this place. Save your time, money and taste buds by avoiding Damon's. They should forget about serving food and just make it a bar. Oh, there was a sign at the front stating that the restaurant was under new management……don't be fooled. This place is horrible.
