This place deserves credit for using fresh ingredients. The food here is, by and large, very simple. Fresh fruit cut up and put in a bowl, very simple omellettes, etc. It speaks more to the pervasive lack of imagination of other similar places in town that some of the comments about Patachou are so glowing.... Downsides: both locations give the impression of total chaos during peak hours; getting seated can be a mind-numbing ordeal (sort of like boarding an oversold Southwest airline flight). Also: the Penn location is *extremely* noisy, probably the noisiest restaurant I have ever visited. They have removed the ceiling tiles from the drop ceiling (which doesn't help). I had a headache for hours after my last visit!
