“great place to beat the winter blues!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

We love Garfield Park, a fun place to go year 'round. The huge playground is a big hit in the warm weather, and the conservatory is wonderful in the colder weather. We have taken our Christmas card photo for the past 4 years. They have a wonderful winter wonderland set up after Thanksgiving and it's so nice to warm up in the heart of winter. Summer is just as wonderful inside the conservatory, and the grounds outside are pristine. We love to just wonder around and have seen many a bride and bridegroom start their lives together at Garfield. The gardens and playgrounds are free, there is a $1.00 fee for the conservatory and the pool is extra.

“All Decked Out at Christmas Time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

We took our 16 month old along with my parents to visit on the day after Thanksgiving. It was a great experience. It was all decorated for Christmas. Beautiful poinsettias throughout. They had a large train setup as well. My daughter loved the koi ponds. My husband enjoyed all the photographic opportunities throughout the greenhouse.

“Beautiful Space”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Stopped in this park with our grandsons on a lark. It was in full bloom beautifully landscapped. There were play areas suitable to a 5 year old and toddler. The children thoroughly enjoyed the play area. We went to an open area to throw frisbees and airplanes and have snacks. There were plenty of picnic tables and benches all around. A bonus was all the birds and squirrels happily moving about to the delight of the kids.

“Small conservatory with beautiful flowers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

We stopped here for a break on our way to Dayton, OH. There was an orchid show going on the day we visited and there was a small fee for that. Otherwise, I believe there is no charge to visit. It was cold outside but the temperature was very comfortable in the conservatory while we viewed the beautiful flowers. It was definitely a worthwhile stop!
