This is a beautiful building and the stain glass is pretty to see when the sun is out. The restored building was put back to original grandeur and is well worth taking time to go see it. Three floors in this building and taking the tour you will get more history.
An unexpected trip to the State Capitol. Very beautiful building inside and out! 3 floors and beautiful stained glass on ceiling as you walk in.
We’ve enjoyed two tours of Indiana’s state capitol building, most recently in September. The architecture of the building is classically elegant, and the building has been restored to its original grandeur. The tour provides a little history as well as the opportunity to see the senate, house, and supreme court chambers. The only negative about the Indiana state capitol building is that the city is built so close that it’s difficult to get a good photograph of the exterior.
If you like State history and architechure, how could you not love our state capital. It has everything a state capital should have. See if you can find the tunnel when you visit.
