“Unique sandwiches; great quesadillas”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

This is not meant as a a slight, but we had sandwiches that were like garbage sandwiches. Some of them had the strangest mix of ingredients on one bun. Like something I would have craved late night cramming for an exam in college. I got the 'lite' Cuban sandwich. Lite is just an outright LIE! It was HUGE! They put on some sort of beef strips that were like beef BACON. Too much to describe, really. Wife had a sandwich with an egg, and again, too much to describe. Daughter had Hawaiian quesadilla. I really liked that. I'd eat it all again, but the $2 plastic bottled water, when we asked for ice water, and the eventual $28 bill with tip, was a bit much for our three sandwiches. Small, quaint, cute. Could use a bit ..... more something. The staff was polite. Was just hoping for a bit more. But very worth the try on the food alone.

“I almost didn't go in but then did...very happy I made that call...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

Cute little place in a cute little area. They have tacos but otherwise it's all tortas. Good thing because I've never had one and wouldn't have picked it off of a standard menu. I got a chicken, chorizo, and cheese sandwich and it comes kind of like a philly cheesesteak all chopped up on a roll that is crispy on the outside and soft inside. The sandwich comes with avocado, tomato, homemade jalopenos & carrots (that were okay) and two salsas which are both outstanding. A definitely place to go...

“Authentic Mexican”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

The sandwiches are awesome. Fresh bread that melts in your mouth when you eat. It is so refreshing to have a place that is not a chain, you can tell the difference in the taste of the food alone. The restaurant is clean and decorated beautifully. Beware of the "red sauce" haha as it is a surprise H-O-T, but was very very tasty. The staff is friendly and the experience was just wonderful. The prices are low, they could likely charge more but it is nice that they do not.

“excellent find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013 via mobile

This place has tons of personality! Its in an area of town that is going through a transformation, so you may need to suffer construction and parking pains but the food is worth it. Don't expect your typical mexican dishes, these are mexican sandwiches. They are fabulously delicious, very filling and at a great price. The selection is great and most are named after celebrities. I believe this restaurant actually has a challenge, if you eat a few cubans you get your meal for free? Inquire more, if interested, as this was not something I had as a goal.

“Yea! Mexican Sandwich”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

The list of ingredients on the Cubana sounds a little foreboding, but it is the best freaking sandwich on the planet. Add to that the friendly staff, and it is worth braving the construction.
