I found an online deal for this hotel when I was in town on a Saturday for a friend's wedding. My first impression - unbeatably friendly and helpful staff all the way around - even the lobby restroom attendant! It was my first overnight visit to Indianapolis, and it was an excellent pick! We arrived several hours ahead of time, but were able to check in early. The hotel is new and modern, but still very comfortable. It's large, attached to the convention center, but very classy. The rooms were very spacious, particularly the bathroom area, which generally are cramped in most hotels. Beds were comfy, had no trouble sleeping!
The hotel had a beautiful, classy lobby-level bar, and the High Velocity restaurant was surprisingly a great value with delicious food, a large menu, and generous portions - and for a very average price! I didn't ever feel like I overpaid or was "ripped off" by hotel pricing. It was a little busy in the lobby area, but once you get past that it's a beautifully relaxing stay.
Lastly, the location of the hotel is prime - within walking distance of the city circle, shopping and dining hotspots, as well as business venues, the football stadium, and the convention center. If I ever return to Indianapolis, I need look no further for hotels than this JW Marriott.
