“Pleasant stay ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014

I stayed one night at this hotel. Room was very nice and quiet, comfortable and super clean, ideal after a long transatlantic flight. Service friendly, and the 24 h menu with bar / beverages service is a plus, unlike other places I've stayed in downtown Indi where you can't get a bite to eat or drink after 10 pm. The only gripe I have is the massive carbohydrate overload offering on the menu and at breakfast. Some imagination here, away from the American obesity inducing diet norm would be a pleasant surprise eg. offering eggs / bacon without bread, steak with salad or veg, not bread roll or fries.

Recently stayed here 1 night on a trip back from East Coast. Thank goodness it was only 1 night because if it was longer, would have asked for my money back & stayed somewhere else. First, hotel is in a business area that looks somewhat run down & about 2 blocks from the hotel, neighborhood was not the greatest. Gal at front desk was nice even though the directions she gave us to restaurants was not the greatest. We did not have reservations but they had available rooms. Our room was on the 2nd floor. After checking in, we went to look for someplace to eat. When we arrived back, it was around 8:30 p.m... Walked into our room & the first thing that hit you was the smell. Musty, moldy smell. We thought it would go away after we turned the air conditioner down. By this time, it was late & the kids were in their pjs so we did not complain to the front desk at this time. We kept thinking the smell would go away, but it never did. Also, the carpet in the room was disgusting. Apparent stains everywhere. We all kept our socks on & they were filthy. Also, when you turned the water on in the bathroom/tub, the water smelled bad also. Had to let run for a good 10 minutes before the smell went away. To me, it looked like Hyatt had purchased this hotel from another company, dolled up the lobby, maybe did some renovations to the rooms, but wow they need those renovations again. At least the room we had does. When checking out, voiced our displeasure & the front desk was nice about it. Apologized & offered us 20% off the room rate. Whatever happened to "when you are not totally satisfied with your stay, you get it free." We have stayed at various Hyatt Places & they have always been nice. Starting to think that Hyatt Places are not the best choice for us anymore.

Stayed with the family traveling through town. Overall the hotel was great, rooms are large with a big sofa that also pulls out into a bed. Staff was very nice and helpful. Free parking, free wi-fi throughout, and an exceptional free breakfast. It is a step above most of the other free breakfasts you get at other hotels where here you get hot skillet sandwiches, quality fresh fruit, oatmeal, etc. The only downsides was the strange location in an industrial park area, convenient to airport but not much else. Room was also not as clean as it could have been. Still a very nice hotel and we would stay here again.

The sales and catering department went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Even though our needs were out of the ordinary and changed at the last minute, they handled them with grace. I will use this facility again for our next meeting.

Hyatt Place always has these big rooms with a living area. My wife likes them. Room was clean and comfortable. A decent stopover when on a trip, but not near anything of interest if you are just driving through. The breakfast bar was nothing to write home about. I would just as soon leave that out for a little better room rate.

I stayed here for one night with my wife and children on a trip to Pittsburgh, PA. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was good. Check in was friendly and without any problems. I got a good nights sleep in a clean bed which is what is most important to me.

The room smelled musty when I came in and stayed that way the entire time. The bedding and carpet felt damp. The "comforter" is thinand ineffective. The conditioner is loud - one of those wall models that don't really regulate temperature. TV picture quality is terrible.
