We had several members of our extended family stay at this hotel for the weekend for a family reunion in Indianapolis. I was impressed at the cleanliness of the hotel. Our room and all of the commons areas we enjoyed were spotless clean. The location of the hotel is very close to the airport, although the hotel kind of sits of by itself in a newly developed area. The closest shopping and dining is about 15-20 minutes away, with the exception of a restaurant at the Hilton Garden Inn right next door. The rooms were nice, although a little small for a double room. The beds are very comfortable, and suprisingly I did not hear a lot of noise being so close to the airport. The free breakfast buffet is very good, and we really enjoyed the complimentary coffee throughout the day. The only real complaint I had was with the service of the front desk staff. I had issues with making my reservation over the phone, had to call several times to get my email confirmation, had poor service and check-in with a man who was less than thrilled to be answering our questions, and worst of all was my check out experience. I was waiting in line behind another man checking out and was completely ignored by the older lady working behind the front desk. When another couple came up to the desk she greeted them, and then after helping the man in front of me, walked over to the other side of the counter to help the couple who had came in after me, completely ignoring me all together! When I mentioned very nicely that I had been waiting, the other couple (not the staff!) told me to go ahead and the staff member never even apologized! I expected better service at a Hampton! But, overall I did enjoy my stay at this nice hotel.

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your recent stay and review of the Hampton Inn & Suites Indianapolis Airport. Guest reviews are very important for our team to better understand how effectively we serve all our clientele and where we have room for improvement.
I was really glad to see that you enjoyed the hotel and the level of cleanliness that our staff works to diligently to uphold. Without such a dedicated team, it wouldn't be possible to operate at such an efficient level. Also, we all appreciate your kind words of the buffet. The breakfast crew understands the value of a great breakfast and makes all the effort provide a pleasant start to everyone's day.
As for the issue with your check out, I was displeased to hear how your situation was handled and will look further into the matter. All of our front desk staff understand how important they are in making a great impression with guests and I will address the situation to ensure it doesn't happen again.
Once again, thanks for your recent stay and review. We really do value all your input and hope that we see you again your next time through Indianapolis.
