“Hospitality with a Plus+”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2010

When i head to Indy on business, my colleagues and I make it a point to reserve at the Embassy Suites on Vincennes Rd. From the warm greeting at check-in and friendly helpful attitude of the wonderful staff, this is the most hospitable hotel of my 20+ years of business travel. Most representative of this warmth is my breakfast cook, Lassandra Campbell, who can amazingly cook up a storm in a flash for an army and treat everyone she encounters with kindness and warmth. Hats off to Lassandra - she is a shining example of hospitality at a hotel which exemplifies hospitality at its best.

We made a last minute weekend trip to Indianapolis and found a lot of the hotels were full. I picked the Embassy Suites based on past stays in other places. Suites are nice with teenagers (2 TVs and free breakfast make life so much easier). Check-in was fast even though it was very crowded. Our room was very nice and clean - perfect. The pool / hot tub areas were crowded but the staff kept it very clean and there was plenty of fresh towels (which is usually a problem at hotels when it's crowded). In the morning the breakfast area was crowded but they had a wonderful large staff to keep up with everything from cleaning the tables to making the food (it was impressive and everyone was smiling - that's rare these days). I can't say anything negative and I definetely recommend it. Plus: I'm a Priceline gal - I use it all the time - I couldn't use it this weekend since all the hotels were full. I paid full price and I don't regret it. WOW - that's something.

We stayed here during a road trip to see grandparents. The place was booked and we were disturbed by kids whose parents didn't tell them (at 11 PM) to go to bed!

Anyway, the room was the typical Embassy Suites. It was clean and comfortable and the bed seemed new and the pillows fluffy. The alarm clock was a few hours off and we were unable to set it. My husband called the desk and they said they'd send someone up to set it as it has to be set by housekeeping and cannot be set by guest.

The breakfast was the typical Embassy Suites fare (made to order omelet, decent coffee, and a bar of other things) so we stuffed ourselves before hitting the road.

No complaints.

Overall stay exceeded our expectations. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Of particular note was Lassandra the breakfast chef who is outstanding. Goes above the ordinary.

I stayed at the Embassy Suites on July 10th, and boy was it busy. The hotel was hosting a couple family reunions and a wedding, I beleive, so there was a lot of hustle and busle around the place. Even though we weren't part of the festivities, Bryan and his Front Desk Staff made us fee very welcomed and extended every courtesy possible. The rooms were nice, showed their age a bit, but were still very roomy which is great for a family. The breakfast was to die for, even though it was busy, it was worth the wait. We will definitely be back, and look forward to seeing Bryan and the staff again!

We were happily greeted as repeat Diamond members to this IN hotel. On this trip, Lassandra was courteous at breakfast and always greeted us w/ smiles in the early morning hours. From the front desk, Shawn helped my wife in the business center w/ a computer 'glitch' and Debbie was quick w/ a hand-off of a map to my wife, when it was deemed necessary for me to seek medical attention at the nearest hospital; we extended our stay due to this and the housing staff was fairly attentive to the Do Not Disturb Sign posted on our door, enabling me to sleep w/ pain-meds after the overnight ordeal in the ER.
We will stay here again due to business in Indianapolis and the fact that 'midwestern hospitality' still resides at this Embassy Suites. Thanks, for making us feel welcome.
