“Best breakfast on the road... Lassandra”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2014

Stay here if you are in the area and rooms available. Best breakfast! Whenever I am on the road for business I stay here, double rooms with a BR door make it nice and quiet. Close to highway and cheaper than staying in the city.

Each morning at breakfast Lassandra made eggs, pancakes, and french toast to order. Not only was the food good, but she was incredibly nice. She tried to remember guests from day to day and conversation they had previously or how they liked their eggs. It started my morning off right talking with her. The morning staff in the atrium were very attentive too to clearing dishes and pointing out where things were.

Very kid friendly - to the detriment of guests staying there without kids.

This could be a beautiful facility. Carpets are absolutely filthy in hallways and guest rooms. Old plumbing. Toilet did not work. Air conditioner did not work. Had to change rooms twice! Room smelled dingy and musty. Terrible carpet stains. Room was very dusty and had crumbs on the floor. Hair on the breakfast buffet. Very disappointed in this Embassy! Dirty linens and trays with old food are left outside doors for hours.
Needs updated and cleaned!!

Room Tip: Dirty, dirty, dirty!!!!!

Embassy Suites is usually a little bit higher in price than other properties, about $20-$30 a night, but it's well worth it. They offer happy hour with beer, wine and liquor and snacks (usually chips, veggies and salsa) from 5:30-7:30pm each night. There is no limit to the number of drinks you can order, and they just ask for a room key and ID. Oh, and the drinks are FREE! They also include breakfast, a huge breakfast buffet with pancakes, muffins, yogurt, coffee, juices, potatoes, bacon, eggs, and cook to order omelets. INSANE :)
Both lines can get long, get in line early.
We often book the hotel for fun nights, even though we live in Indy.

Room Tip: they have one room and two room suites - two room suites are great for families or couples traveling...

My husband and I were in Indianapolis the weekend of July 11th for a convention. We stayed at the Embassy Suites North. I always want to stay at an Embassy Suites because of the suite, of course. It's roomy and the separate "living room" area lets people stay up and watch TV while everyone else is asleep. And of course the breakfast buffet is to die for!

I was disappointed in the Manger's Reception at this location. It consisted of popcorn, tortilla chips and salsa, and veggies and dip. I guess I've gotten used to the Embassy Suites in Dublin, OH where there were hot hor d'ourves liked meat balls and stuffed mushrooms. There could have been a tray with cheese and specialty crackers. (Maybe the cost of these things has gone up.)

I did enjoy the rooms, as always. Comfortable beds and nice TVs. The refrigerator and microwave were pretty small, though. Couldn't but a full bottle of beer standing up in the refrigerator.

Appreciated that the WiFi fee was waived. (May have had something to do with the convention.)

Room Tip: I like the higher floors. There is activity in the atrium up to about 11:00 pm. If you're an e...

We booked group reservation with Vicki in the Sales Office. She was so easy to work with and very helpful. Some of our group called 2 days before our schedule arrival to try and get in a day early, Vicki helped us out and helped us save money. The reservation hotline that Hilton has in another country should be fired and those jobs should come back here to the states! They were so rude, would not let me speak and then hung up on me. I will ONLY book with someone in the US.

As for the front desk staff.....Debbie and Rosemarie are OUTSTANDING. If we had a question, they could easily point s in the right direction. I loved their positive attitudes and warm smiles every day. I wish I had employees like them where I work, they are one of a kind.

My daughter loved the addition of having a friend there at the hotel to say hello to every morning. Sweetie is a nice added touch. Would hate to see her go.

We came to the hotel with a group for a baseball tournament. We are planning on attending the same tournament next year and will definitely be back.

Standard two suite rooms gave lots of space to spread out for a family. One can go to bed while others watching tv in the other room which is nice. Most rooms face atrium which is noisy until 11pm with lots of ball teams, large groups, etc. Not a problem for us but travelling companions had young children with earlier bedtimes and they said being on second floor over banquet rooms combined with atrium noise was an issue. Definitely ask for a high room facing the rear (office park/pond) if you are in that situation. Mini fridge and microwave came in handy.

Thought cleanliness of facility was good. Plenty of workers for morning breakfast keeping things stocked and clean. Plenty of food choices. Fitness facility had no working water. Went to front desk to inform them of issue and they did the correct thing by getting me a water bottle from the gift shop complimentary.

Website said they would charge for wi-fi in rooms but that was not the case, you had to accept charges when signing in but they immediately take them off the bill. They explained that when I checked in.

Elevators are old and sometimes you don't go in the direction they indicate but they provided a source of amusement for the many kids who are waving at their friends through the glass. Glass doors going into suite don't provide alot of privacy with just sheers unless you pull the curtain over the door which makes it awkward for anyone entering after you.

Appreciated staff kicking out the kids from pool area at the stated 10pm time. Gave the adults some quiet time til midnight.

Overall, if you need a little extra "room" and nice places to meet up with travelling companions in common areas, it is worth paying a bit more than a Hampton.

Room Tip: A room on higher floor facing back of hotel away from elevators if you want quiet before 11pm.
