“Great choice for families”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

We choose Embassy Suites due to the large suite and family style environment. Kids love the pool, glass elevators, happy hour (manager's recception) and large atrium. The suite has plenty of room for families to spread out.
Pros: large suite, restaurant on site is great (no need to go out to eat), the manager's reception was much better than most, for an older hotel they have kept it updated and very clean.
Con's: Great overall value for a suit and evening reception but the breadfast is terrible. All of the food that should have been hot was cold and the coffee was instant out of a machine. I'd recommend ordering eggs fresh from the omelet bar and there are plenty of continential options. If you get a good rate it is still a good overall value for families.

Due to business travel I stayed for six weeks at this hotel. A very good hotel and supporting staff. Three exceptional people on staff I had the pleasure of knowing. The midnight shift desk clerk and auditor (name forgotten) is the most knowledgable and competent of all behind the desk. The morning cheff ( Lassandra) does a great job and creates wonderful breakfasts. And who could forget the nicest guy on the planet (and great bartender) Marc. Thanks to all!

Embassy Suites tend to be one of my favorite places to stay, but this location was even 1 level above the normal embassy suites. The manager reception was exceptional. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of free options. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Nothing negative about the experience

We are in and out Indianapolis frequently and have stayed at several excellent venues in that grand town. Most recently we spent four days at the Embassy Suites North and were so happy with the visit.
This is a great place: comfortable, reasonably priced, elegant and with a free breakfast of restaurant-quality.
Factoring in the breakfast and the free breakfast (and reception most evenings) this hotel is a true bargain.
Its location works so well for us, handy to the highways and shopping, but set back on hill like some old Indian maharajah's castle. The core opens to the roof and the decor is striking.
Of course, the people are wonderfully kind and courteous and friendly. The rooms are very large and well equipped for a short or long stay.
We will be happy to come back to this place.

We grabbed a room here last-minute as our family was traveling home. We came in with 2 little kidd, tired and stressed due to bad weather. The stay at this hotel made our whole trip better.

Lassandra and Richard Jackson on the breakfast crew went above and betond to be helpful. They were extremely friendly and were very kind and patient with our two rowdy boys.

Great rooms, great atmosphere, but more importantly: Great people!

Our family has stayed at this hotel at least once a year for many years. One thing that we love, is the employees that were here several years ago, are still here today. From the bartender during the Manager's Reception, to Lassandra cooking breakfast the following morning, the employees must be happy since they remain. The lobby and common areas are peaceful and comfortable - the water features are very soothing. The pool is large and so is the hot tub. The fitness center is one of the best of any of the Hilton family hotels that I have stayed at. There have been many upgrades over the years - the rooms are spacious and furnished very nice. Yes, the bathrooms are small, but they have made the best of the situation by providing two other sinks and mirrors in the rooms. We had a refrigerator and microwave. Because we love Famous Dave's BBQ across the street, and don't have one near where we live, we have not eaten at the restaurant here, but the menu looked great and we may eat there someday. I would not hesitate to stay here again and again. Make sure that you order pancakes when you come, even if you don't normally eat them. They are the absolute best!

This was an expensive hotel compared to others in the area, therefore I assumed it would be nice. The carpet needs replaced, the bathrooms are small, the ac/heating unit did not work properly, the cleaning staff did a poor job. I would not go back.
